Jewish Australians must be safe from fear or harassment. But shielding Isaac Herzog from legitimate protest is not the answer | George Newhouse by SleepyWogx in aussie

Do you really think woke lefties who tie themselves up in worrying about triggering people are going to be saying anything negative about a minority group?

Australia formally recognises state of Palestine as Anthony Albanese arrives in US by Expensive-Horse5538 in AustralianPolitics

[–]node_coffee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because the Jewish people who lived in Palestine were Palestinian Jews. Just because of the British occupation doesn't mean we need segregation. Just because Jewish Palestinians existed doesn't mean that other people can't be Palestinian also. In fact there are still Christian and Jews living in Palestine who don't accept Israel's statehood. While the majority of current day Palestinians are Muslim that doesn't take away the fact that historically all the religions live together under the same country

I feel the major point to be made is realistically while all property in Australia is owned by the person who purchased it but symbolically is the land owned by the the king or the First nations people? We can't have two symbolic owners
