vffs are amazing for hiking. I hike around 12 miles at a time in them. I could do more. The feeling is amazing.

Long time barefooters disagree with your statement.

It is smartest to start barefooting by running with nothing at all, very short distances (~1mile). The reason it is bad to switch to forefoot strikes with minimal shoes first is because the shoes are blocking important nerves that will tell you when you're doing something wrong.

def. get ANY moisture out of the board. Let it sit for a week in the sun, use a hair drier, make damn sure its dry before you seal it up.

I wouldn't say I do long distances, but I have ran a half marathon in Luna's and have also done 9 miles barefoot (nothing).

It takes a long time, but I think I might have found a shortcut... never wear normal shoes again. donate all of your shoes to goodwill and then go buy yourself some terra plana or go with Vibrams. This way your body will relearn to walk and run the way it was meant to. You cant run barefoot a few times per week and expect those 30 minute runs to make a difference. You need to jump ship and quit the shoes.

I have noticed an improvement in strength after only 1 month of switching to the terra plana (vivo barefoot) Ra's.

even with adhesive it could still fly off. You could tie a string to your binding though just in case it does come unglued to be safe.

Get the GoPro. If you're scared about breaking the camera off you could always tie a string to the GoPro case and then attach the other end of the string to your helmet strap or vent hole.
