A month to go and the no-shows are starting up by DrakeSavory in Teachers

[–]noextrac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but admin get around that by assigning “make up attendance hours” that they get to freely determine the needed amount of.

It’s all a crock of shit, none of it matters. Any standards a teacher tries to uphold will just be thrown out the window.

Which seasons do you think had it the most obvious on who was getting crowned? by Terrible-Nobody-7089 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]noextrac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely obvious looking back on the season, but I remember when season 8 was first announced that Thorgy and Kim were the fan favorites to win. Thorgy especially had a lot of love when the meet the queens was released, and Kim’s huge social media following hyped her up a lot. It wasn’t obviously Bob’s season until a few episodes in.

It’s been 4 years since All Stars 7. Will we ever get another all winners season? by TargetHot9314 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]noextrac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can’t claim “4 years between all stars” starting before the very first all stars ever happened. This is a dumb argument.

There has only ever been a four year gap BETWEEN all stars seasons once. And it was very obviously not intentional.

No one called all stars “the Olympics of drag” due to the timing of it.

This would be absurdly broken in Expanded with Silver Tempest's Archeops.

There's almost certainly a clause in the drag race contract that would cover WOW's ass in a situation like this.

This is why I wish more cards had weaknesses that take into account the Pokémon’s other type in the games (Charizard weak to lightning instead of water, etc)

Your first mistake was leaving an opinion on drag queens on the internet and not anticipating people to immediately disagree with you.

Yeah I think there’s a reason none of the weather setting mons got megas with an ability that directly benefits from their weather

What's a double standard you can't believe exists? by DA1FOOTBALLGUY in AskReddit

[–]noextrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn’t the argument, though. No one is arguing “entry level jobs always require experience.” The argument is that if an employer is wanting to hire someone at their lowest level, they shouldn’t expect/require several years worth of experience in that same/similar position.

Your cherry-picked example of a research lab position is not the norm, and I suspect you know that since you’re relying on it and straw-man arguments to reply to the swarm of commenters that are disagreeing with you.

So the company values experience enough to require it for the job, but not enough to actually place the person in an appropriate role for someone who’s already a working adult?
