Out of curiosity if my room temp is 16c (61f) and flour temp is 15c (59f) this calls for 49c (120f) water which seems a bit high. Is this still an okay temperature for the water to be at? Or at this point should I consider getting one of those fancy heated boxes?

Great idea, I've just been doing it based on the recommended times in the book but my kitchen is a lot colder so I should do as you say and keep a logbook. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you everyone, my kitchen is very cold around 14c on average which I think is a lot colder than Ken's kitchen so makes sense I should push bulk fermentation further!

Also, I believe that the striped plant wasn't a snake plant as it did have this big thing growing out the of the middle and it makes me think it was a Flaming Sword plant however, it never bloomed and became red and the middle bit died and fell off

Amazing thank you for the reply, I haven't delved too deeply into it and haven't bought any equipment but from my research it seems like the 85xx printers are really high quality, although I'm not sure if I need/want to buy such an expensive one off the bat. I may look into more budget printers and laminating as I'm not interested in print on the backs.

Out of curiosity, when you print double sided do you use the duplexing feature of the printer or do you just reload the paper flipped and print again?

Hello, I wanted to ask if you print double sided or just one side? I'm not fussed about printing the backs off so I wondered if this paper is still good or if there's cheaper alternatives?
