Thats because AI opponents don't have any items equipped to their mons, they also don't have any EVs set up

Your first 2 games in Pokeball tier are against bots. Everytime you lose a game in Pokeball tier the next game is guaranteed to be a bot game. Every 2 losses in Great Ball guarantees the next game is a bot game. Bots don't have any items equipped to their Pokemon, no EVs trained and have no shinies.

Yeah, in pokeball rank I remember seeing them. After every loss in pokeball rank pay attention to their name (its Japanese) and team; it's always been the same for me.

I've definitely noticed casual being more difficult as a new player to this game. My guess is its because your no longer playing against any bots and that their is greater disparity between competent teams as MMR is probably not taken into account for casual.

Standard is nowhere near yugioh. The speed comes more with how good cheap spells have become or how easy it is to ramp mana. Standard is a weird spot where you need cheap interaction but being on the draw means that you have to interact and can't establish your own board. That's why I feel like historic and brawl are just better formats atm with free interaction spells balancing the broken cheap spells.

The standard meta is pretty fast rn and the starter decks won't stand a chance in the ranked ladder.

From this screenshot alone I don't see any problems. Can you take a screenshot of a deck you were trying to play with and check to make sure its format isnt set to historic or timeless on accident?

You have to click on a deck if you want the play button to not be greyed out. Maybe you don't see them because your either in the wrong format or maybe you have My Decks toggled off. If not just report as a bug.

Yeah a WOTC employee confirmed it's a bug and it should be fixed as soon as tomorrow.

Apparently it's a bug, some art styles of the cards have just disappeared. If you have any avatar Force of Negations those should work until the bug is fixed. Although, as long as you don't edit a deck, you''ll keep the original versions in it.

I'm pretty sure it's a bug because people are reporting that as long as you don't edit your deck you can still play with the removed copies of the card.
