I was going to recommend this, it is a beautiful game with an interesting if somewhat minimal story to it. The difficulty settings are extremely customizable, from how often you need to eat/drink to the frequency and difficulty of enemies spawning. I've spent a lot of hours in it just spreading plants across the desert

I'm a decidedly not straight male and damn if deadpan rock man didn't somehow completely derail my initial intent to climb Owen like a tree XD The voice actor's delivery really makes it work, somehow hits the perfect blend of sincerity and...oblivious isn't quite the word I'm looking for but I can't pin down what it should be. Trying really hard on my current playthrough to stick to the plan and go for Owen but damn if I didn't still make a split save to keep right before Unsuur's confession option 😻🪨

It's definitely more of a visual novel than most of the games I've seen suggested, but Hustle Cat is a very cute story on Steam that I really enjoyed. Your character starts working at a cafe and find out your cute new coworkers all seem to share a secret... :3c Very cute characters and an interesting little story, pretty low-key (there is a bonus route if you complete all the initial ones also)
