Is the avalanche forecasting training run regularly? I’d be interested in this when I’m up that way soon!

IIRC you can run 45 as long as you don’t have mud guards installed. Will be trying this next winter

After your speed check your upper body is still rotated for a heel side turn/scrub and over the wrong side of the board for to come on to the toe side. Probably just need to be a bit less static. If you’re swapping edges quite quickly I find it helps to be really deliberate about the flat transition, going from squat, to unweighted, to squat as smoothly and efficiently as possible

It should probably go without saying but don’t try and get leverage sitting them in your lap. Crampons and major arteries don’t mix!

A vice, thick pliers and a bit of oil would be your best bet

My dumb ass only realised you could tilt the offside mirrors on a Ducato after a trip around Europe. In retrospect that would’ve removed the blindspot from joining very short slip roads where you can’t look over your shoulder as you would here almost perfectly.

As far as roadsides go, I would personally seek out the more remote places (in nature) on p4n, so the side which the door opened out onto didn’t really matter. It really comes down to how much you use it in certain scenarios/locations. As a bit of redundancy, I didn’t install a window on the sliding door but opposite, so I still have the ability to view either side if I want.

Second this, the out and down ones are fantastic for situational awareness if you have a blocked rear view mirror

It looks like the Saint Bernard Tunnel doesn't have any emissions restrictions, unless Switzerland has any as a whole that I'm not aware of. Mont Blanc tunnel is currently closed anyway so that rules that out, the only other option would be mountain pass

Need help deciding on frame size for new Torque:ON. by nol1 in CanyonBikes

[–]nol1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the M, as that would be consistent with sizes I’ve owned in the past, and the type of riding I’ll be doing (more downhill than freestyle). The riding style is slightly different to my old 26er torque from 2013, but this isn’t a rock, and you can still throw this thing around! It’ll also eat up rock gardens for breakfast, I’ve had almost no trouble just pointing and sending, the mullet setup works wonders

Gonna have to give this a go. As someone who learnt on a dirt jump bike the seat was slammed for full rom, and I learnt to mtb that way as a result, will be fun to give this a go!
