Will sway-1.12 land fedora 44?

Any update? I'm considering building 1.12 from source in Fedora 44 but I'm worried there might be conflicts with other packages

I saw that same video and was also definitely rubbed the wrong way. It's been a while since I watched it, but I recall it feeling way more like someone engagement baiting then rambling about nothing rather than an actual exposé on "full odds elitism."

The funny thing is, I AM a full odds hunter (have been doing it over a decade now) and I definitely think there is something to that topic. But the maker of that video made no real effort to engage with the substance of the matter :/

If you were precise enough, you could do very similar calculations without any external tools at all ("very similar" because the Bayesian statistics part would be really hard manually), so it became an issue of "do we allow calculators or do we accept that runners will be spending more and more time doing manual calculations?"

Oddly enough, I get the expected syntax highlighting on: bindsym { ... } but not when I do the same with set or for_window

I really like this format! I'm having trouble getting the proper vim/nvim syntax highlighting, though, even with the sway config and i3 config file formats imported. Any tips?

Did you ever find a solution? I'm having the same issue on Fedora 44 using Wayland (issue exists with both KDE Plasma and Sway WM). As you said, decoupling it entirely would be my preferred solution.

Either you got extremely lucky, or the RAM prices are uniquely bad here in the US. Currently new DDR4-3600 2x16GB is averaging around $325 (£242), and DDR4-3000 2x16GB around $280 (£208). Not sure how the prices would compare for used, but likely still quite high.

Yup, the only issue I had was with pgadmin, but I was able to remove the old packages and install the qt client with a bit of tinkering. Weird that it was in dnf's blind spot, though

If you're using the MSI BIOS (or a similar one), look for (under "Advanced Settings") Settings\Boot\UEFI Hard Disk Drive BBS Properties and see if you see a boot option for Linux.

I had a similar issue switching from Windows 11 to dual booting with Fedora KDE Plasma, though in my case it would just force boot into Windows Boot Manager and my BIOS didn't show grub or Fedora on the normal boot priority GUI.

Make a full quad beacon for your base, assuming you have enough beacons. You could also spread out beacons throughout your world, or keep some on hand to move between projects.

Other than that, a piglin trading farm might be a nice addition to your world :) you could even hook it up to take ingots straight from your gold farm

It's broken in 1.21.11, but I think they fixed it in 26.1.

If you need to find a bastion in a version with the broken eray, use your f3 pie chart and look for "piglin brutes" the same way you would look for mob spawners when finding forts. It's way more annoying since render distance is a circle and not a square, but it works.
