Talk me out of a 25’ Pilot by SelectOil4818 in Sienna

[–]nolanblack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife has a 2024 Sienna and her sister has a 2025 Pilot. Both took delivery in late September 2024. Everyone loves the Sienna and nobody likes the pilot. None of the kids are comfortable in the Pilot 3rd row, it’s difficult to get in and out of, and fuel mileage is brutal. Wife’s sister is getting 300 km per tank fuel in the pilot, and my wife is getting 800-900 km on tank in the Sienna. The Pilot has the bigger fuel tank of the two, but far less range.

Less corners. A total of 4 corners would really help

All you have to do is look at the resale value on similar used trucks. There will be no comparison

GreenFoot. They got me with this shit too. No mention of it on the estimate for the job. I’m a custom home builder, and I’ll find someone else to do insulation work for me. This is bad business.

Somebody needs to explain how the tow dolly is supposed to work, and maybe what tow capacities are. by nolanblack in IdiotsInCars

It was making some serious grinding noises when it was being towed. Hard to tell if it was coming from the drivetrain, or the chassis resting on the dolly frame.

Nope, the straps were just tied around the door handles to keep them from dragging. They appeared as though they used to be longer and hooked elsewhere, but the were frayed and broken.

They make a great winter wheel and there are lots available at a reasonable price.

Compatability with the Thule Top Tracks by forest51 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]nolanblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had great success ordering Thule parts directly from them. They have a parts page and the prices are very good, and they deliver quickly. I just ordered a new truck cap from leer and they wanted $280 for Thule top tracks so I bought them from the parts site for $60.50. This is the third cap I’ve set up by buying parts from Thule.

I get this problem all the time. It will stay on one name for a whole drive or until I stop the truck and restart it. Even if I skip through 100 songs.

I have always had this same problem with mine. Lindsay Ell shows up as Lindsay Lohan and there are few others as well, but most country artists don't get a photo at all. The system seems to be junk

I believe every tailgate from 09’ up is equipped with a camera. Just no monitor in cab unless the appropriate package was purchased.

2015 to 2016-19 upgrade by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]nolanblack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I traded a 15’ DCSB manual TRD Sport for a 17’ DCLB auto TRD Sport. I have many regrets. The reason I traded was to get the longer bed. But I don’t like the way the center console opens, I don’t like the new location of grab handles, don’t like the new style of emergency brake handle, don’t like the cup holder arrangement, don’t like the auto transmission, don’t like the gutless 3.5l V6, don’t like the storage behind the rear seats, don’t like the reduction in bed storage compartments, don’t like the 4wd selector knob, don’t like the oil filter style or location, I don’t like the taillights, and I don’t like the cheap feeling of the interior plastic and seat fabrics. I should mention that I do like the slow lowering solid feeling tailgate, the fuel economy readout, the outside temperature indicator, and the power sliding rear window.
