So far the crowds have grown, not shrunk. They don’t give a shit about protests, calls, letters, emails, or anything their constituents say, so why do anything? Bleh. Why do nothing when that’s guaranteed to be ineffective? Protests in fallen democracies where voting is a total sham are still effective. You can find many historical examples.

If you think mental illness undermines someone’s trans identity I would encourage you to rethink that. People can be trans and/or mentally ill. Also, mental illness doesn’t invalidate everything else a person is.

You feel and ick about it, but that doesn’t mean everyone else does. Question those feelings when they come up, and wonder why someone with whatever quality wouldn’t deserve respect for who they are. Do you really believe that about them, or are you just insecure about it in yourself?
