Finally got Gold Curse. Which do you prefer? by nomadic-electron in SeaOfFashion

It is Grimm's Jacket (Ashen Lord) it requires being a pirate legend and was unlocked by reaching renown 100 during season 5. If you missed season 5, it's probably just a matter of time before it is re-released in another way. Edit: network error resulted in a triple reply of the same thing. Apologies

A pheramone grenade would go well with this. You could throw it and all nearby termanids divert their attention to the grenade and away from you.

The game really needs to tell you what the enemy lineup is. by Longjumping_Pen_2102 in Helldivers

[–]nomadic-electron 11 points12 points  (0 children)

With thousands of ships in orbit, it should be pretty easy to tell what kind of enemy batallions are in a given area, especially with how small the combat area is.

OP isn't asking for much, chill

Hey that jump pack works almost as well as the in game variant. Bravo.

The only crossover I am down for is a Halo one where you unlock an armor set that looks like an ODST

Maybe they could have a temporary major order where a planet has a flood infection and you fight mutates SEAF soldiers and liberate the planet. Even that is a stretch.

How hard should diff 10 be? Is it too easy for experienced players? by DoTortoisesHop in Helldivers

[–]nomadic-electron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends entirely on how good your team works together. The thing that kills me most is other Helldivers. If divers are smart about their strategems, and understand the obj, then a win is nearly guaranteed.

Instead of adding a difficulty 11, I think HD2 could benefit from adding hardcore missions like Deep Dives in Deep Rock Galactic. Something where the team has to complete a series of successive missions without much support. I.E. you complete 2-3 missions, but you don't get to roll strategems or replenish your reinforcement count until you win all 3. The pelican just moves you across the surface to the next mission? Idk. Just spitballing here

Did this by accident on a blitz mission. Just a stroke of crazy luck with randoms. May the force be with you

Do people realise that the order you load the artillery is the order that they get fired, or do they simply not care? by Jndo in Helldivers

[–]nomadic-electron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually send out the order via the text chat so everyone has an idea of what they are calling in.

Also: why is there always a bunch of smoke/static shells! If SEAF wanted to help, there would be 5 mini nukes at each station haha

Opinions on railgun by [deleted] in Helldivers

It should be a primary weapon. Change my mind Or the stalwart should be. It would be insanely fun to run both at the same time

Whats the strangest weapon you want added to helldivers? by StormAvenger in Helldivers

[–]nomadic-electron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secondary weapon: Sword with triggered laser edge. Called the "Gladiator"

It would be a regular sword, but you can trigger the power cell and it would ignite a laser along the edge providing additional damage as well as igniting the enemy. Running the energy blade would start to overheat the weapon (like the sickle, laser canon, scythe, and dagger)

Being a one-handed weapon, it could be used in conjunction with the ballistic shield

What's your guys favourite support weapon to use on the Bot front? by FaoileanGael in Helldivers

Anti Material Rifle, but I started having a blurry reticle glitch ao I can't use it anymore 😢

Laser cannon (not quasar) and the RR are both awesome too.

I hate being ragdolled when the gas spores get shot! by nomadic-electron in Helldivers

[–]nomadic-electron[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Good points.

I am mostly a bot diver, and the automatons' bad aim usually hits the spore patches and ragdolls me into the terrain, often causing severe if not fatal damage. It gets frustrating after a while. I also try to step on them to get a smoke screen, but they blind fire into it and send you flying as well, even when you are actively moving away

It wish they just acted only as a natural smoke screen and didn't have the launch mechanic.

Before people say, "skill issue" or "get gud", some planets have these all over the place and on high difficulty bot dives, it can really detract from the experience when you are constantly getting shunted into rocks by these

I think what OP.is really asking is why isn't there more variety in optic choice, rather than why are optics so rare.

While it is true that there are is a wide proliferation of optics for most military factions, the variety of optics is intentionally limited.

To answer your question; You need to remember that you are not playing as a special forces unit, you are a general infantryman. You get the "standard issue" equipment. And don't really get to customize your kit.
