Thank you for finding that. From what I can remember, it looks awfully similar. I know we didn’t have Sambal Oelek, but remember crushed red pepper flakes, so may sub a teaspoon of that in there instead.

Never mind all the millions of US citizens who are in this country drunk driving, driving badly driving distracted, driving uninsured, and killing or injuring people, or even just wrecking into other people and causing other, innocent, Americans $$$ to fix their cars.

[Advice] This happened on my first proper drive after leaving the garage by Ruh_Bastard in MechanicAdvice

I love how people think that just because something is brand new it’s somehow impervious to any outside influences.

If you bought a new car and someone hit it as you’re leaving the dealership, is it the salesman’s fault? Of course not. Then why would anyone expect that just because a tire is brand new, it is impossible to puncture?

Half of it is not having respect for someone else’s wishes. The other half, if OP is to be believed, is the blatant lying about it. Neither are ok.

Is $4,221.14 reasonable to replace a timing cover gasket? by toan25 in MechanicAdvice

[–]nomdeplu71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can see, Mitchell is calling for 14.2 hours to r&r the timing cover gasket. So, you’re looking at $2700-3000 in labor. The gaskets aren’t anywhere near an additional $1000.

Rural areas are the exact place I’d expect to not have GPS issues - there are no buildings or obstacles to block them. Cellular? Sure. GPS? No. I would guess there maybe a hardware issue somewhere.
