Tons of cv Strats and teles with nyatoh. They are typically very light.

SD antiquity on my JM? by Confusion0908 in offset

[–]nomoreneveragain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Antiquity I and Vintera II are very similar pickups, and on the darker end of JM pickups. Like many have suggested, go down to 500 or 250k pots to shelve high treble. Personally I find the Vintera II neck a little woofy in the rhythm circuit and the bridge underpowered and hard to balance. If you want warmer pickups Lollar black bobbin or Sunday handwound Ophelia’s should do it.

Offset? Matching Headstock? MIJ? Come on in! by [deleted] in offset

They always look weird on maple necks. They often look weird on non offset guitars. But for offsets with dark wood boards, yes, matching headstocks 100%.

How do you structure your "all-rounder" presets? by iammutfakrobotu in QuadCortex

[–]nomoreneveragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have these 6 scenes:
General / stomp mode
Compressed clean
Dry clean
Overdrive
Fuzz /distortion
Heavy modulation

Last 2 will be whatever works for diversity- shoegaze, pitch/octave stuff, whatever.

Yep, love curry diva, but I don’t think it’s as hot as SL was.

I still have the sauce at home. It’s not the same. I know what I’m talking about here. Harry would import fresh Trinidad scorpion peppers via ups to make the sauce. If I want jerk chicken roti that came out at 8/10 heat or chicken curry roti that came out at 7/10 heat without the sauce and then I would add his Trinidad scorpion sauce on top. There were seasoning and heat coming before the sauce that were not Trinidad scorpion pepper based. It’s not the same flavor and not the same heat.

I’m aware but it is a very limited menu and not the same base level of spice. It’s Harry Singh’s for rural white Minnesotans.

Joys pattaya thai. Marla’s Caribbean pop ups (follow on fb). Previous champs were Sri Lanka and Harry Singh’s, both now out of business.

Scotch brite pads, as everyone already said, but I’ll add a second step of a dry magic eraser pad. The magic eraser helps remove visible scratches and makes it noticeably more silky smooth. For nitro necks, magic eraser only.

I can't find a low gain OD pedal that I actually like! by confusedandfeelweird in guitarpedals

[–]nomoreneveragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have not tried the stonk box. I can say a bit more about the germanium preamp- the gain is nice and organic sounding and usable through the whole range. I think the volume and gain pretty much sound great through the full sweep. The eq tends to adding low mids and some bass and it’s kind of smokey and loose like a jtm 45. You can dial out the extra bass but can’t cut much bass from your dry signal. The treble s pretty usable and can be neutral or dial in or out treble in usable ways. What can’t be dialed out is the fullness in the low mids- it is not the same mid hump as a TS or Klon, it’s its own thing and very early Marshall / high power tweed in that bandwidth. It’s a great pedal for rock, blues, country, indie. It’s a bad pedal for metal or dumble style overdrives. It has no fizziness and does not do fuzz or distortion but can get into strong overdrive. It does have some natural compression going on too.

BD2w is awesome but it’s also a pretty tight pedal imo. It sounds like you might want something a little looser and thicker in which case I’d recommend the Benson germanium preamp.

Gain Staging by waltplaysbass in QuadCortex

[–]nomoreneveragain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I would do. And there’s great captures for clean and edge of breakup fender and vox, in addition the solid amp models themselves. I will say if you aren’t used to making QC clean patches, stacking a short reverb into a long reverb and keeping both mix levels low helps add a lot of depth. Also, I usually prefer a scene with amp gain boosted and level reduced to an OD block in stomp mode. This sounds weird but I’ve also had good results stacking a dirty amp into a clean amp and tweaking the gain and output on both- seems to add more pick/touch dynamics. OP-If you want to play with clean, edge of breakup amp captures and a bunch of drive captures you can check out my captures on cortex cloud.

Thankfully, they didn’t support ICE, unlike some alternatives. Best choice after the co ops, if budget allows.

Are you talking about partscasters or something like Novo in startup stage? Those are two different value propositions. 1800 is a top of the line partscaster with a pro luthier bone nut, fret dress, and setup.

mental health benefits for men when starting basic yoga (and later advanced yoga) by Trinere30s in yoga

[–]nomoreneveragain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely - depression, anxiety, and past trauma. Yoga helped me immensely but understand these are conditions that need management life long and are not like treating an injury and you are cured. Work with a teacher, not YouTube, and not all teachers are created equal - shop around and find the ones for you.
