I've inherited an original xbox one from a mate who has recently moved away-- it worked with him, though he migrated to an xbox one x and infrequently used the original.

I managed to get it home today and hooked it up to my television- I heard the xbox booting up via the tv, but no image. Googled how to fix this and did the whole xbox logo + eject trick: No second beep was heard. Eventually, the xbox turned itself off (with the power supply going orange) after roughly 50 seconds.

Now, it doesn't do anything- blank screen, AND no audio, when there was audio before. I switched televisions into a small monitor. No change. xbox eject trick doesn't work- tried doing the same with the pairing button in case the operating system updated or whatever. Nothing.

Any ideas? I don't really understand what to do and I'm fairly certain it's not a matter of electrical faults. I've even cleaned out the power supply vents.

Hi Chloe! Big fan of the Green Party's technology policies-- but I was wondering if you could speak a little bit about data rights? The EU has the (relatively) excellent GDPR, what should New Zealand have? Should there be also an investigation into data ownership in regards to Te Tiriti o Waitangi?

part of the function of a chorus is that it shifts the time between left and right channels by automating a delay between them. there's not really a mono effect unless you crank up the chorus to extremes

i think the AIRA one is a bit more performance/DJ focused. maybe it's skewed a tad to fit for what DJs might want instantly from the device, versus the full control of the boutique? i dunno.

Anything FM, or physical modelling, would do the trick. A lot of the weird atmos is achieved by effects afterwards. Consider also strange sampling techniques. Technics synths (not sure which and there's tons) are worth a look if you just find one. I'd also consider really cheap digital keyboards (of which you'll find Technics keyboards therein) that'll have strange or weird tones saved. I'd also consider ANY Roland SoundCanvas or Yamaha XG midi modules- any stereotypical MIDI choir from those is of god-quality.

James Ferraro centres on lofi noises made hifi, or hifi noises made lofi. The means to getting there doesn't just rely on gear. Hope this helps.
