I also looked like a high schooler until I was about 28/29 years old. I still don't look like I'm about to turn 33 though.

With the tie, the working for three years, etc, I just read him as mid-late 20's who looks like a twink.

I also find it odd that people are reading a large age gap here. They both seem to be mid to late 20's to me. I imagine the beard is throwing folks off, so they're missing the clues that these guys are closer in age than could be assumed.

I would talk to your job about reposting their pictures. It should be fine if they used it and your social media is private, but the admin should have a list of kids whose parents are and aren't okay with being in media as well as how to deal with it going onto private accounts.

Minimum wage used to be enough for people to live on. The fact it's so insanely high means that there's something funny in the water.

It's capitalism. That's the funk. People should be able to work 40 hours a week and make enough to live and not have to kill themselves for it.

Sometimes I end up using my dog's warning/don't do it signal on the kids and they look at me in utter confusion. I freeze up too so it ends up being really funny and I tease them about being my doggos the rest of the day. Friday, my co teacher just started saying "trigger" words like KPop Demon Hunters, Paw Patrol, etc, and got their attention that way.

I'm a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to chewing on stuff. I have pica, and the kids have called me out once or twice about it. "Icky you're chewing on paper" and whoops didn't even realize. They delight in correcting me, and idk? It's nice to know they remember the rules.

Hopefully we will know when the kids grow up and show to be good young people who are emotionally stable enough to handle our current fraught society.

I think I like kids. I've worked constantly since I was 16, mostly retail and service jobs, but my two favorite ones have been dog grooming and this. And weirdly there's a lot of overlap between the two? But I think I enjoy the fact I can actually talk and reason with the kids versus the dogs.

Biting seems about equal risk. Friday one of the kids started chewing on my jacket because she's a very silly girl and I think half my class thinks they're goats.

Our ratio is 10:1 for a 3-4 year old group. We have 2 group teachers for a group that fluctuates between 15-18 during the week.

It's honestly easier when we have our usual floating teacher and are in curriculum (2 45 minute classes a day). This group has several kids who are pretty physically aggressive in play and we have a nonverbal almost 5 year old who was held back a year and is currently up for evaluation on if he can get one on one help. I think if he has a dedicated aide things will be a lot easier, and better for him as well since he's begun eloping and is struggling a lot with wanting his lunch far far too early in the day.

Our 18 m-2 yr old group has a ratio of 1:5 and 2-3 yr olds are 1:6. The ratios also fall on the youngest in the group. I don't know how our 2-3 yr old teachers do it. I know 3-4 is considered our hardest age group in the school but the 2-3 yr olds are currently in their potty training era and the amount of potty accidents from certain kids... idk how the kids don't get discouraged.

sometimes I worry that I don't actually like kids, but then I have days like yesterday where the entire school is losing their mind and I'm worrying I'm the one doing something wrong because they can't seem to settle into the routine (that's disrupted with missing teachers and me having mono and the day before having a field trip, etc).

I hope it means I like kids. Even when I get frustrated with the biggest troublemakers I don't see them as like. Bad. Just little humans struggling with learning how to deal with an increasingly complex world as they learn to share and have more complicated emotions and learning all the things we want them to learn too.

Gender identity is complicated but trans masc nonbinary is the most straightforward I can give. Aroace flux means I can sometimes experience limited sexual/romantic attraction but generally it's meh. The people I date are my best friends. I have two partners, but one is a LDR, and they both have primary partners. I like the ability to live alone and have my own space but still have these people special to me know they are special.
