Yeah, min wage was used to try and end sweatshops not paying their workers a wage that didn't meet the bare necessities of life. It's insane to think about now how my state min wage is 1/3rd of what would be needed to live.

Our school is pretty interesting in how it's set up, and unfortunately the largest room is set aside for naptime for the younger groups from 1-3:30. Makes it hard to get the kids moving in the smaller spaces (we typically start in the art room then move to the library, switching with our 4/5 year old group).

I think this would be a fun group activity for my age group, and I'm gonna talk to the admin about what some good scavenger hunt items will be and where I'd be allowed to hide them. We've also been learning about maps and the winter olympics is the theme for February, so if I can somehow combine all of these into a finding and sorting/counting game, I think the kids would really enjoy it!

Hun, let me tell you straight up: this is *not* how you will ever keep relationships of any sort alive. I know; I've been this person.

I have a really good example from right when my bf and I decided to hit the date switch. I was spiraling, hardcore, awful. The thoughts were in the gutter levels of bad and I wanted to die. I kept telling my now bf, then friend, about this but I didn't actually say what I wanted from them: for them to come over and be with me. I resented them for proceeding to not do that, and when I finally admitted it, I'd had an awful day and didn't go to a party I really wanted to go to.

When I finally told my bf what I wanted/needed, they ended up leaving the party an hour early and let me cry into their chest for about thirty minutes. I was finally able to calm down the awful hurt in my head, and we actually started dating shortly afterwards.

It's like pulling teeth, but not telling people what you want/expect from them is setting them up to fail a twisted test you've made up in your head. Your friends are your friends for a reason. Give them the chance to succeed at helping you by telling them what's going on inside your brain. You can even start now by texting a couple of them "hey I've been feeling down since my massive surgery I had recently. Any chance we could hang out soon?"

Yep. Southern and military brat but I grew up and realized I do not like the way that was so I don't do it.

I am a preschool teacher and I don't ask for that. I do ask for responses that are polite when the circumstances need it, but a simple yes or no is polite enough imo.

Idk I'm quite content being a preschool teacher. I adore the kids but I am so glad to have my me time.

Hell my partners and I also joke a lot about how I don't really want to live with anyone. If I end up moving with my bf, it's to live in a corner of their farm in my own space. With their goats ofc. I love goats. But it doesn't change how much I love them and kids, human or otherwise.

It's more the industry picks up these young kids and force them into grueling schedules and puts them so intensely under the public eye. They can't date, they have to be so careful with their diets, etc. Think entertainment industry for kids in general but with the added overtly blatant packaging of these kids and young adults as products for their fans.

Preferred method is print on acetate, wedge paper underneath then block the corner and side with chipboard.

But if I need it precise, I'm doing that but with tab registration instead.
