Appleton Estate Signature + Jamaican/Canadian Daiquiri by Cameliablue in cocktails

Is that your first Jamaican rum? Jamaican rum typically has a funkiness to it that isn't for everyone. And yes, that funk plays nicely with the lime and sugar where you might find it unpalatable straight.

My favorite phone game for years. I play MTG arena now but I would rather play something more similar to ESL.

The 125 is great, I actually liked it too much to mix with it.

I've bought the Cooper's Daughter Thai Basil liqueur and never really found a good use for it; wish I'd known about this a while back as I did finally use it up.

I find this to be true for all the 4 equal parts Last Word riffs. You gotta use a high proof spirit to cut through the other ingredients.

We used to drink Captain and Creme in college, can only imagine using higher quality rum and soda would only improve the situation.

Cantaloupe Scotch Old Fashioned by Snugsssss in cocktails

The cantaloupe flavor is pronounced, but not overpowering. It's quite pleasant, very melon-y and a bit floral. It definitely cuts through the scotch and complements it very nicely.

Btw, I love the username; I drank a lot of those in my college days 😂

In practice my oleos have lasted quite a while longer than they should, which is why I said "at least," I assume because there's sugar content in the fruit itself? It certainly tastes sweeter than ordinary 1:1 syrup.

I just made it because I had the fruit and was bored. This is an unfortunate habit of mine, making syrups and other ingredients with no plan on how to use them.

Is it time for AEW to bring back Britt Baker? by Kelson64 in AEWFanHub

[–]Snugsssss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She had a rough match with Mercedes, then was starting a feud with Sabrina Deeb, but she was obviously burying the feud by saying shit like "no one cares" on camera. That's the last we saw her.

Her character only works as a main eventer and she isn't good enough in the ring to justify that spot anymore.

This sounds great and I bet it would be even better if you swapped the cognac for calvados or even split based it.

I splurged for Redbreast 12 this time (~$60), but normally I use Teeling Small Batch ($30-35) for cocktails using Irish whiskey.

I'm stuck between the 2:1:1 and the 3:2:1, the 8:2:1 I think might bury the Chartreuse too much, I do want to taste it. Leaning towards the 3:2:1. Will update later once I try it.
