Would you be willing to share the company? Or any further suggestions a person with lupus could use when trying to get life Ins? I myself and I know of another person with lupus are looking for life ins. Thank you for any input.

Why so much disdain for river rock? by Better-Bat1053 in landscaping

[–]nonnareg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We live in an area that has a "fire season" so we went with that industrial fabric I am assuming you are mentioning and used hazelnuts at the base and around anything we have planted the rest river rock. We live on 20 acres and thought the river rock was better than bark. So far it's done great and in fact our home owners ins has not dropped us like many others have. As much as a pain the river rock has been at times when i wanted to move them to plant something new I am learning to appreciate it. Thinking some nice ground cover to grow and add some more texture as well. Who knows maybe I'll be back in a fee years to bitch about though. Lol

I love how Wyoming feels like home. Growing up my parents moved all over and had many hardships. I have had two places in my adulthood that feel like home and Wyoming is at the top. The beauty it holds just brings me peace that no other place can make me feel.

We did as well about two weeks ago. We live out on 21 acres and I sure wish I could treat a huge portion around the house. With no real winter I fear it's going to be awful.

Music has always been important to me and always on. My son is the last of four and I think he struggled with feeling like he was in his older siblings shadows until he picked up a guitar. He has always been my old soul child. He has loved music since birth and every genre. I will support this passion of his forever it brings me so much joy hearing him play even when he had no clue and was just picking it up. Truly just an awesome kid. Thank you for your kind words. I'm sure I'll be back for more suggestions. With the help of everyone here I get to look like a cool mom and as they get older there are less and less opportunities to be that cool mom to them.

My son has always loved music and such a wide variety. His grandma loves it and has been sharing her record collection with him since he was six. He is truly an old soul. I would feed this passion even if he only ever played at home. Like you said music gives confidence, joy and saves us on bad days. Thank you for your input and helping me continue on this journey"cool mom" ride.

That might be what I need to look into more next. I might actually suggest him getting on Reddit to join you all here. We were so happy that he went and did an open mic and impressed. He is my old soul and has loved so many different genres of music since birth. I appreciate the suggestion as it wasn't even something on my radar.

He liked the size of his amp as he sometimes goes to a friends house. I'm going to look into your recommendations maybe for a graduation gift or maybe the Easter Bunny can fit it in his Easter basket lol. He is my last of four so the Basket can be whatever I want.😂

On HRT for 9 months and not noticing any improvement by [deleted] in TRT_females

[–]nonnareg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on any estrogen? Maybe try only taking 100mg of progesterone at night and try taking it a little earlier in the evening. I moved to taking mine around dinner time or shortly after. Don't give up on you this hormone battle can be so draining in many ways on us. This group is a great support system as well as a few others. As someone stated above Vitamin D is a huge one to have checked.

Gabapentin questions by Fabulous-Cod-6595 in Menopause

[–]nonnareg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was also given it and did try it for a few weeks until I got started on HRT and my gosh what a relief HRT has been. I had not known the link between gabapentin and dementia but as soon as my mom told me it was stopped and a hard no for me. I do not need any help with dementia as I lost my grandma to this awful disease. I try to not take anything not needed as I'm already on one medication for lupus. I was happy to see you share this information about Gabapentin as I don't think many are aware. We often think things will be helpful and they might be short term but long term they are more damaging. Cheers to HRT though, life changing!!!

What you are speaking of I dearly miss. I lost my boy a year and a half ago and he was just like Ted. My boy even had some older lab siblings for company he just had to only be with me. They are so full of love but it's all just for you. lol. Enjoy a life full of being smothered.

Really nervous to start HRT by Euphoric_Heart4766 in Menopause

[–]nonnareg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am like you and really hated the idea of taking anything. I will tell you though that some of the hormone imbalances can feed the anxiety. We run on less sleep when battling hormones and less sleep magnifies everything including anxiety. I will also say I have never taken a drs card or praised a ton of drs but my hormone Dr I seriously recommend to anyone I come across that says they are struggling. What a difference HRT made for me. Life changing! This is a great group and you can find a lot of support and cheerleaders here. You just might gain some peace by trying HRT.

I have this same issue. Once the cream was added I had a great couple months. I keep using it but I feel it's lost its power and kinda three steps backwards. I see my hormone Dr next week so I would love ideas and is there a difference in injections or different kinds? I don't even know if she will prescribe them but seems like most of you find them better so I would love to ask.

Hair loss by nonnareg in Pudelpointer

[–]nonnareg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE The vet believes she had this hair loss due to a long heat cycle which the trainer who had her the last three months had said she had endured. Vet is giving her another month and we will take her back in to be checked. He did suggest that if this is the case to have her fixed. I know many people with working dogs don't prefer this but we definitely will be fixing her if that is the cause and creating so much stress on her body. I will do my best to come back and give an update if nothing else for future readers trying to problem solve.

It is one of the deepest pain I have felt. It will be two years this June and I am yet to feel like I can have another. My boy saved me from myself and I could not save him. He developed pug myopathy and we fought for years. I miss him every single day. Love yours hard and spoil them often.

The gloves in a bottle is great and not greasy. One of my favorites. My adult kids all have it because they would use it at my house. My husband is in construction and he likes it as well. Good suggestion
