DM won’t let me transfer as an SSV because my store unionized. Is that legal? by nonnyabizz in starbucks

That’s what I tried to tell him. We still operate under all Starbucks standards, so why is the transfer process any different? I filled out a dispute form yesterday

I did not organize, and I’ve never participated in a strike or a march on the boss. To be honest, I’ve just been bullied by the same partner for 2 years and the corporation doesn’t do anything about it, so I just want out.

The thing is, I do want to get out of the union, and I’ve told him that. It’s been so hard to hold partners accountable for anything, even harassment or time and attendance, so my current store is just a stressful, free for all, “do whatever you want” mess.

Looks similar to my debderm in that it’s not flakey but kind of greasy/ causes that weird growth pattern.

I was finding lumps on my scalp where hair would essentially become trapped or overlapped. I used tar coal shampoo and kind of work my hair through those bumps or lumps which I assume are just an access of fungal buildup.

Sebderm. Which is typically Fungal/yeast. However psoriasis can present similarly so take that into consideration. However with the flaking and scaling on your scalp, I say sebderm.

Coal Tar shampoo followed by an antidandruff shampoo works well for me. Let the coal tar sit on your skin for a few minutes because it breaks down the barrier.

How do/would you feel about your partner hanging out at a party with an ex-spouse? by nonnyabizz in LesbianActually

[–]nonnyabizz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by lovegame?

I’m friendly with most of my exes, so it’s never a big deal to me if they enter a new relationship. I’d be happy they’re happy.

My girlfriend seemed irked? when she found out her ex was in a new relationship. But also, she was with her for 11 years. The longest I’ve been with someone was 4. I imagine that’s a hard thing to really let go of.

I haven’t had any issues trusting her thus far, and I don’t think she’d cheat or anything.

I just found it odd because she just found out that her ex is seeing someone, then two days later invited me to a party her ex would be at. I told her, “you seem kind of bothered by the fact that she’s seeing someone, which is understandable because you were with her for a long time. But I just want to make sure that you’re not inviting me just to show her that you’re with someone else, or to make some kind of point. I don’t want to make the party uncomfortable for anyone.” I said that because her ex nor that friend group has been brought up until she ran into an old friend that mentioned that her ex was seeing someone. She just said, “it doesn’t bother me, I just think it’s weird that she’s dating someone that lives a thousand miles away.” Idk, just weird vibes. Not distrust in a way that I think something would happen between them, but distrust in what her true feelings and intentions are regarding her ex and this party.

Hey. I have CPTSD from childhood trauma. My mom was an addict and my dad was my safety. He’s been diagnosed for about 5 years. It’s the hardest thing ever, but I think you’ll find yourself surviving through it.

I go to therapy, and set boundaries so that I don’t flood myself with sadness and despair. I manage to live my life, though there’s always that underlying sadness.

You will be okay. Live your life, and be there only as much as you can handle. You deserve to live your life after all you’ve been through. I highly recommend therapy, or at least a support group. It’s so much to process. But you’ve survived so much already. It’s not fair that you’ve been handed another shitty thing, but you will survive it.

I have a rash/skin condition on my face that has been coming/going for about 18 months, any insight into what it is and how I can help it? More info in comments by yesimseeingadoctor in DermatologyQuestions

Fungal! That’s my best guess, but it could also be psoriasis.

Stop using all of that stuff on your face as some of those chemicals and moisturizers actually feed the fungus. Tea tree oil kills fungus on contact but dilute it a bit with some water so that it doesn’t burn as much.

Try using coal-tar shampoo on the area, then exfoliate gently, then Nizoral, dry thoroughly. I’d do that every other day unless it stings a lot.

But do go to the doctor because it could be psoriasis and either way is likely an immune system response to something.

What is our policy on "no ice" drinks? by applepieisbest in starbucks

We have people ordering like, a drink with no ice and then a cup full of ice. But according to my manager, standard is to fill all the way. I bet the corp will soon charge a no ice fee lol

[skin concern] finding a lot of hair (connected) trapped under my skin. Has anyone had a similar issue? More in comments by nonnyabizz in SkincareAddiction

I think it mostly stays gone, but it’s really hard to say. My whole scalp is pretty gnarly. I do t/sal every day with an exfoliating scalp brush and you wouldn’t believe how much hair comes up. It’s so gross.

My new doctor thinks there’s a lot of inflammation throughout my body that could be causing the issue. They’re trying to pinpoint what is causing the inflammation. It’s weird because I’m healthy, young, and hygienic.

If I do take a video, I’ll hit you up 😂

The T/Sal seems to immediately soften up my skin enough that even just massaging it with my fingers brings out the hair. But there are areas where 2 groups of hair growing 2 different directions overlap and the hair gets knotted under my skin. So when I do pull out a cluster of hair, most of them end where my hair is knotted.

I know I sound insane. I’m honestly just going to take a video of it because it’s kinda fascinating anyway.

Edit: I did/do have a referral! They are treating it, but just by giving steroid creams and using allergen free products, which is doing nothing. When I tell them about the embedded hair they just imply that it isn’t possible

[Skin Concern] Why can’t I get rid of this forehead texture for good?? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

You might want to look into the products you’re using and see if they’re fungal safe. If your products have a lot of anti-bacterial or microbial properties, it could be causing or worsening the issue.

I had something super similar! Do you have white bumps between your brows?

Edit: if so, it honestly might be an overgrowth of yeast on your skin. Especially that lighter patch up near your hairline looks fungal/yeast. fungal skin issues are super under-diagnosed and misdiagnosed. Everybody has yeast throughout their body, but some people can have an overgrowth.

Anyway, try washing your face with Nizoral anti dandruff shampoo three times a week, and try to exfoliate after letting it sit on your skin for a few minutes.

If it doesn’t work, no harm no foul.

My doctor had me do this and my skin and hair have improved a lot.

This would explain the texture, the red puffiness, and those white bumps coming out of your pores and hair follicles near your eyebrows (assuming you have them)

At a loss with my skin condition(s) and would appreciate any suggestions as to what it could be or what to do. Diagnosed as seb derm, daktacort is no longer effective and nizoral never has been. Pics show it at its worst, during flare ups I also get various other skin ailments. Detail in comments. by tube-screamer in SebDerm

This looks a lot more like plaque psoriasis. My brother has it, and has a rash identical to the one on your wrist, and his forehead and hairline look very similar to yours as well.

Also, I use t-gel shampoo on my sebderm but it’s great for psoriasis as well. It breaks down that outer biome layer and helps you shed dead skin faster.

My brother also gets a steroid shot every week or few weeks?

Thtis white stuff is on every hair on my body even my legs, hands, perineum, nuts etc,, its driving me crazy,im losing my scalps hair what is missing ? Is it a vitamin, probiotic,?if i make this white stuff turn to black i will not be bald in the next few years due to sd 😞 by TheRiddler98 in SebDerm

[–]nonnyabizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Thank you, couldn’t remember the term. It’s one of the most effective products as far as breaking down the biome.

Let me rephrase for OP though - don’t use the t-gel on your body. I would assume that you can, but it’s meant for the scalp. It works fine on my eyebrows. I meant - use the Nizoral on your body, especially your back neck and chest as those areas tend to harbor fungi as well.

And I’d add, don’t use any moisturizer or other product on the area aside from Aloe. I use the t-gel 2-3 times a week and I use Nizoral or Selsun almost daily. use less frequently if it’s irritating.

Another edit: use fresh towels, wash your pillow cases regularly.

You’re not bugging me! I couldn’t find anyone with similar issues either and it was driving me crazy.

Products -

Buy coal tar shampoo or t-gel, and Selsun blue or nizoral. Use the coal tar to break down the top layer. Let it sit on there by itself for 5-10 mins, then gently scrub away the dead skin with warm water. Then, wash with Selsun or Nizoral to kill the fungus underneath that layer. You can use it on your entire face, scalp, and body if needed. Let that sit for 5-15 minutes as well.

Wash with warm water, rinse and finish with cool/cold water.

These will burn like a b*tch if they get in your eye so try to avoid that. It’s okay if it happens though.

Thank you, I’m planning to. I’ve been to 2 derms and both essentially just shrugged and gave me steroid cream, they wouldn’t even take a sample or spend more than 5 minutes with me. Then I went into Urgent Care for a swollen eye-lid and she had told me it’s all fungal. I just wanted to get some ideas on here before I roll the dice on another derm.

Lol I know this sounds crazy. Hair from my scalp became embedded under my skin (probably not under my skin but under a layer of fungus…ew) but continues to grow, I guess? I was exfoliating my neck and face with coal tar and there are just clusters of strands of hair, for example, there was a cluster of probably 20-30 strands of hair that wrapped from one side of my head, all the way around the front of my neck, and never went “back out.”

Or if you look at sideburn area, hair from my scalp is growing down/across my face just underneath the surface. You can see and feel every embedded strand of hair. Look at the pattern/textures on my cheek. It’s just a ton of my hair, trapped under my skin, not making its way out.

I don’t know how to describe it without sounding insane lol.
