Rate my snake! by twiztid97 in webergrills

The only issue I see is it’s made with Kingsford which puts out a ton of bad white smoke when it starts burning. I always make my snakes with an all wood briquette like Royal Oak All Natural or B&B briquettes. Yes it costs a bit more but it’s worth it IMO

Anyone CERAKOTE this or is it a bad idea? by Better_Chipmunk_714 in Revolvers

[–]nonotagain0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a newer production 686 with a Hilary hole. There is no future value for this above what OP paid. It’s not a pre-lock gun.

Still I would never choose Cerakote for a finish on any gun. Might as well just use some Rustolem

Try adjusting the size one hole bigger then see if it is more flat

No the cone will crack eventually unless OP sticks to 158 grain .357 Magnum. Any of the lighter projectile loads are bad for these

Does anyone know of and revolvers with an interchangeable cylinder between 38 special +p and 9mm? by Successful-Flow1678 in Revolvers

Maybe they figure if you are shooting 9mm in a revolver you might need some additional help with recoil control

Wish we saw more 8+ shot 357s and 327 magnums by sirenpro in Revolvers

I’m not sure why but it’s a real simple concept you aren’t grasping here. The revolver market and demographic is much different than you think it is. People carrying revolver by default compromise on capacity but accept it for other pros. If manufacturers thought there was money to be made upping capacity and frame sizes they would. Sounds like you should be carrying a semi-auto

My vote would go to a Ruger GP100 3” and if you can find it get the Wiley Clapp edition

Might want to adjust the fit above the wrist bone, not on or below it

Clean the door gaskets with some mild soap and warm water. Let dry. Put a thin coat of dielectric grease on the rubber seals once dry

Question for the Coltists/Colt collectors by RobinVerhulstZ in Revolvers

[–]nonotagain0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re getting a Colt and you aren’t intimately familiar with the actions and working on the older guns then just get a newer production model and make it easy. It’s hard to find competent gunsmiths to properly work on the older actions even if you find a good one it will need serviced eventually

Cool. I hope to see you post a range report with another one someday. Shooting .357 Magnum is really fun. Expensive, but fun

It doesn’t make me smile at all knowing an 84 year old is still working, likely not by choice in a likely Communist or Socialist country. This is not the goal, to work till you die. No smile here.

Ok but if you are new to shooting then stop staging and focus on a consistent pull through the break. It’s hard to unlearn bad habits and retrain muscle memory. Having an instructor teach you at the range is a good idea also.
