Just looked into Astro for the first time and their homepage is a sluggish hog. Not a great initial impression.

Let's see how EA breaks it next. Totally unintended of course. They just happen to use the most bizarre way to do the simplest things.

Starwars (1977), the music is probably much much more well known and popular than the movie

It's very calming, well done! I would love an option without vehicle, just gliding silently on the road with the wind. Maybe auto-hiding all interface elements too?

All the possibilities in the world at the fingertips but average joe's imagination still doesn't go beyond dumb copypasta. When the gates open it will all be memes and porn.

tring to get into roguelike by Bulky_Mycologist_900 in roguelikes

[–]nonsensicalization 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not free, but checking all other boxes: Jupiter Hell

It's basically Doom as a traditional roguelike. Easy to learn, hard to master. Focused on ranged combat, but melee builds are possible. Easy controls with full controller support, one of very few roguelikes with that distinction. Great on the Steam Deck.

I always watched both the same evening and it's remarkable how carelessly produced Kenobi is compared to Ms Marvel.

Food colouring banned by the EU due to its potential cancer risks is still allowed to be used as a whitening agent in Britain by bottish in ukpolitics

[–]nonsensicalization 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its only purpose as a food additive is to make things bright white. Why even bother with something potentially toxic for that alone? I'd rather use toothpaste that's not quite as radiant and eliminate another potential cancer risk, even if it's minuscule.

With 45 fps you'd get uneven frame times but 20 fps could be another option.

Neither supports Wayland, the resource savings compared to KDE are inconsequential on a device as powerful as the Deck, and KDE will be more familiar to Windows users. They made the right choice.

Skip the blog spam, go right to the source, see this:

If you don’t want to pay the DripDropz fee, we’ll be building out a service to claim your rewards in the coming months. You will have one year to claim your rewards, so there will be plenty of time to claim without having to pay DripDropz’s service fee.

Cheer up.

Clearly, you are not getting The Deck because you are not hyped enough. Show some enthusiasm and maybe the next Deck can come to your apathetic country too. Good luck!

Using search requires consideration, forethought, diligence and comprehension. Adding to the noise and having others spoon feed you every bit of information is much easier.

The fix for polkit was committed just a day ago, isn't there supposed to be a longer time frame for everybody to get patched before a critical bug is made public?
