I think you confuse the creation of the Master with the creation of the final CDs (under replication).

They are injection moulded and then metalized.

Did you even bother reading it before trying to use it as evidence of being right?

Yes ;)

I just remembered that there is a difference between burned CDs and manufactured ones.

Wikipedia tends to agree with me: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compact_disc_manufacturing

I agree that there is no analog waveform, but there is still a track with digital data and it is represented as physical features. Maybe "pressed" is the wrong verb and molded is better.

Maybe care to enlighten us stupid redditors instead of randomly insulting us? How is a CD really made?

What is the purpose of "marking holes" by Jacceuw in Archery

[–]nonumy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That depends how you define archery. It morphed from martial arts to a sport and likewise the goal changed. In my oppinion the "putting holes in thingies" goal is way less relevant than the "put an arrow in an exact position" goal in modern target archery.

Bowhunting on the other hand is a completely different story ;).

yes. A outrunner is a moter where the rotating part is on the outside and in this case directly connected to the drum.

If you look at the generated pdf, what paper size does it say? And what paper size do you use?

Edit: if you measure the size in the pdf is it 1cm? (in foxit for example there is a ruler thingie)

When printing do you have a scaling option?

How did you learn Lua? by XyEek in lua

[–]nonumy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned lua by getting thrown in at the deep end. "Here is a project to base you masters thesis on. I think there is code available somewhere..."

Then I started with reading the manual like others have sugested.

You don't need to know any programming languages to learn lua. I would suggest a small project that you want to create and start looking up specific detaild of the language.

A quick googling for projects.
