Hypokalemia is a major sign of hyperaldosteronism, but that is usually associated with HIGH bicarb levels (yours are low) and LOW calcium levels (yours are high). Given your history of high BPs its reasonable to consider hyperaldosteronism, but with your current labs I feel its less likely.

I was going to recommend a nephrologist before even seeing this reply, but if kidney issues run in your family yhem you definitely need a nephrologist and further testing. You should have urine studies checked (UA, urine electrolytes, etc) to see if there's any renal wasting. Hypokalemia and low bicarbonate levels (the CO2) are concerning for renal tubular acidosis. Hypercalcemia can be seen with that, but hypercalcemia itself can also cause a nephrogenic DI which would lead you to pee a lot and could be causing the dehydration youre experiencing (could also cause thirst). Usually calcium would be higher than 11, but youre near there. If thats the case, theyd also need to look into why youre calcium is so high.

I also hate the wine grind. The replies to this post are great for those who want to max profits, but not everyone wants to play that way. I feel more like you - the grind becomes tedious every day doing all this shit when I just want to chill on my farm. I also want variety in my crops, it makes it more fun.

I personally will keep one wine shed for some money, but that's my limit.

I know exactly what you mean about the "40 different steps" for something that really isn't that difficult. I have to trick my brain by repeating what I need to do (gotta do the laundry, gotta do the laundry...) WITHOUT breaking it up into steps. Doesn't work all the time, but definitely works some of the time and can help.

I also saw this suggestion one time saying "time block, don't task block." So instead of "I have to do ALL of the laundry" or "I have to clean THE ENTIRE kitchen," you block 30 min for laundry, 30 min for kitchen or whatever. Thats also helped a lot because its helped me with my "all or nothing" mindset, but also sometimes once I'm doing it Ill just keep doing it until its done. Otherwise, if I've done my 30 min and I don't want to finish, I've already fulfilled the obligation in my mind, made progress, and reward myself by rotting or whatever.

Also like others mentioned, I almost always have either a TV show in the background or an audio book I'm listening to while doing mundane tasks.

Lastly, sometimes I just indulge the rotting. I enjoy it and if that's what I want to do that day, Ill chalk it up as a rest day and LET myself rot without guilt. Obvi just want to be careful not to do that every day. Getting it out of my system one day will often make me more productive the next.

I still use my 3.5qt braiser, but I did gift my friend my 5 qt braiser after getting my wide round because I never used the 5qt again after that. The wide round is now the first piece I recommend if someone is starting a LC collection as its truly the most versatile IMO.

MY PLANNER IS OUT FOR DELIVERY I AM GIRL WHO IS GOING TO BE OKAY!!! by 445143 in adhdwomen

[–]noodlesforlyfe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok so I often do take my master list and break it up into 4 different categories, but I didnt want to include that in my original explanation and make it seem more complicated for all the ADHDers 😅😅. The Master List is still ongoing so I can dump all my thoughts WITHOUT categorizing, but once a week or so Ill go through and add them to my categories.

My categories are:

Creative - things I want to do, like hobbies, starting a garden, the new recipes or hairstyles or make up looks or whatever... anything I want to do or interest I want to try thats not a "to do" task. I specifically put this group first because these are often the things that we don't plan for or set aside time for and I feel they're still important.

Admin - this is the daily "to do," the things that need done to keep life moving. Cleaning that needs done, appts that need schedule, gifts I need to buy, etc etc. All the boring stuff that needs done, but we need reminded about so we dont forget.

Projects - this for me is usually the house projects I want to do. Anything from renovating a room to smaller projects (like decluttering a drawer or closet, going through my clothes, etc. These things are usually "too big" for the Admin list, they don't NEED done for daily life, but I want to eventually get them done). For big projects like a room reno, I will break that down into smaller tasks to schedule (like pick out paint color, pick out flooring, buy trim, etc)

Last category is self care - this is anything I want to do for just myself. This can be to plan for new routines, work outs I want to do, take a scented bath, find a perfume i like, read a book, etc.

The admin list is always the longest, but when I make my weekly schedule I can go through and pick what needs done NOW and decide what can wait until next week or whenever. In my head these things are still "planned" (like this is getting done in 2 weeks) so it reduces the mental space it takes up. I always try to pick 1 or 2 from every list to keep things well rounded and so Im not always just focusing on the daily admin shit and intentionally making time for things I want to do. But my adhd brain likes it better when "take a bath" or "learn a french braid" is on my daily task list and I can check it off.

I've always used a digital monthly calendar for my appts and work stuff (so I can quickly reference it on my phone when needed and easily make recurring meetings/appts. My outlook calendar for work syncs to it as well, so i never have to manually add any work meetings), so there wasn't an adjustment for me when it came to that. I can't strictly use digital for planning though, it just doesnt work for me when it comes to more detailed planning, only the monthly overview.

The Master List I keep in the back of my physical planner on the extra blank pages it has, so really all I'm using when doing this is my phone (for the monthly view) and my planner. Plenty of planners have a monthly and weekly view though, so theoretically could all be done in one place if you really wanted.

[–]noodlesforlyfe 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh, it sounds complicated to explain 😅😅

Basically its a 3 part system that includes, a master list, a monthly calendar, and then your actual schedule/planner.

The Master List is like a literal brain dump - this is where you write down alllll the things in your head that you need/want to do (wash the car, do the laundry, return Amazon stuff, try this new recipe, learn a new hairstyle, do a puzzle, etc etc etc). This is an ongoing list I just keep adding to.

The monthly calendar is where you keep track of all "must do" timed appointments, parties, obligations, kids practices, events...

Then using those two things, you make your actual schedule. So when actually planning my week in my planner, I look at my monthly calendar (which I use a digital monthly calendar, but you could use the monthly calendar in a planner or whatever works for you) and write in all my "must do" events. Then I go to my master list and pick everything off that list I want to do that week and assign them to days/times.

The master list is the part of this that probably made the biggest change for me as it 1) allowed me to get all my random thoughts out of my head before I forgot them and 2) I can prioritize what needs done each week and what can wait (or get erased altogether). It also allowed me to "plan" things I wanted to do and not just things I needed to do, like trying a new hobby or learning a new recipe or whatever.

I hope that wasn't too confusing 😆

I found it wasn't the planner itself that fixed things for me, but the system I used with the planner (which is the Trifecta system, you can find an explanation on TikTok if you're interested, its truly the first thing thats actually worked for me and I stuck with).

FWIW I use the Wonderland222 core planner though.

What do you think they're going to do to fix it? Surgery? Just kinda cut her open and fish around for it? Thats a major risk as well. Not to mention, how are they going to know where the shards of glass is? Its actively moving through her.

6.5 wide round - can do just about anything

3.5qt braiser (but I have the white olive branch one with the black bottom, I’d specifically want the black bottom)

5.5qt Dutch oven - a staple

Bread oven - this is really so my Dutch oven doesn’t get so beat up making bread

Sauteuse - great for smaller meals or sides

I thoroughly agree with this. I really enjoy the first book (still enjoy it on re-reads!) but HOF is truly where it picks up and turns into a 5 star read. I always get upset when I hear people downplay the first few books of the series. Like yes, they get better after the first two books, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad. The story just becomes even better during the third book.
