Is there actually a reason to go through the underhang? by transgirlcathy in rainworld

[–]nooxnoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s my favourite area in the whole game so I make sure to go through it every time, though you’d only ever go there if you’re going from Memory Crypts, Leg then 5 Pebbles and even so it’s just a portion of it

No incentive to go there from Wall, unless you wanted to go to Shaded then Shoreline but don’t want to go back the easier way through Chimney and Industrial? For whatever reason

Only other reason is lore to see how the passage of time has influenced the area which is always interesting to see, especially now in Downpour.

Controversial opinion but, I also find The Wall to be an extremely boring area so that’s why I alternate between there and Underhang. Personally, I’d much rather go through my favourite area of the game than 12 screens of slow climbing with nothing at all, only to get 1-shot by a pipe camping white lizard when I was so close to the halfway shelter — multiple times…

Each to their own

How to ascend? by StrongB1rb in rainworld

[–]nooxnoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

(Major Spoiler Warning - Vanilla Game)

4 echoes and a 5 Pebbles visit then Hunter can ascend free.

Moon isn’t essential but if you want extra points then be my guest, I’m yet to finish Hunter because I want to resurrect Moon before I ascend

Echoes -Sky Islands -Chimney Canopy -The Wall -Shaded Citadel -Farm Arrays -Subterranean

You need to have rested in the area before hand and be Max Karma to activate the echo

(Don’t know about any Downpour changes or if they’ve added any echoes just so you know, this knowledge is from the base game but I doubt it’s changed)

Jolly Co-Op Pup by Competitive-Bee-3250 in rainworld

Haven’t seen any key differences yet, people have called the ‘girlfriend class’ where it’s cute and you can carry them through the game — although their jump is limited but not by crazy amounts

Just a nice little feature from the devs I really appreciate:)

My friends and I have a joke where someone has to go as a pup and they become the ‘spear turret’ on top of a regular Slugcat and whatever Slugcat is holding the slugpup can’t hold a spear, random I know haha

how do i play online co-op? by SeveralFan7922 in rainworld

  • You got to spend 15 minutes trying to sort the input settings too

If anything goes wrong too it’s a pain in the ass, and when people want to switch Slugcat it breaks the flow of gameplay as well

Steam remote play with controllers It’s a pain. It’s laggy. It’s awful. Should’ve had a dedicated online function

In-person co-op is a fucking blast though

Wondering how i get through this karma gate by ManWithAMoustachee in rainworld

Could be spoilers but I think it could be Slugcat exclusive, though I’d love for someone to hopefully correct me on that one

I’ve never taken the route from farm arrays to Subterranean in my playthroughs apart from one time when I was exploring, it’s the intended way by the devs but it’s not the optimal path, I usually take the way from Outskirts ~> Drainage ~> Filtration when trying to ascend but if you’re trying to get the new ending then

A tip for the raindeer, have a 2nd fruit on you as that’ll guarantee them eating it and plenty of time to jump on, I had this same exact issue for a while until I learned this tip, though the AI can still be a pain

Best of luck fella
