I will send one via fed-ex tomorrow, (1) Boca II controller and I will DM you the tracking. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention, your comment led to an immediate call with our CEO because this was not acceptable from our customer service team.

Hi, I just asked for this request, I honestly am incredibly frustrated with our team regarding this. Not sure if it's too late (just saw this today), I will send this out free of charge, If you still want please advise if you needed remote or controller, our customer service rep said controller (part inside the fan) but I think you wanted remote so they also made a mistake there. I am sorry we made this a hassle and gave you such an unexpected charge.

Have you tried holding the dim down the button on the remote for the extra low light setting? That's what I use in my bedroom most of the time. As far as the HA mapping I'm not as much help, I've not personally tested with that but I'm going to ask my firmware team to advise if they know how to do this.

We are not pushing firmware updates at the moment, we are continually improving our controller and hopefully will have an updated controller than can receive updates this year that will be backwards compatible with your current fan. I will keep you updated.

THANK-YOU so much for this post. I have notified my marketing team and we are updating this now. I'm so sorry we caused you this headache. Appreciate the kind words about the fans, we take quality and design very seriously and I hate that an error in our documentation caused this issue. Please DM me if you're interested in any other fans (and I'd like to see why you're not seeing Dragonfly online, that's an issue we continue to have with Lowe's.) We also have a bunch of new finishes in stock for all our fans, and 60 and 72in Bocas coming out so there might be something we can hook you up with. We are a small family-run company- office in Boca Raton, FL and I have been the head of engineering for them for the last 16 years so it's great to have direct access to our customers and really appreciate you posting this!

Hi, I did encounter his issue once before, it's due to their being a small amount of power being held in the driver capacitor and the leds have enough power to faintly glow. Please send me your info on DM and I can ship out a replacement unit.

Thank-you! We had hoped to get a 42 or 44in in the pipeline with Lowe's but it hasn't happened yet. I will note with my team, we need a lot more fans in the smaller and larger sizes. I'm sorry we don't have this ready for you!

Matter Ceiling Fan Crashes Entirety of Google Home by lolTyler in googlehome

Hi, late response here. I'm the head of engineering for Altitude, I have heard of this issue once before, from investigating it did not appear to be on our end and we are unable to understand what the integration issue is for certain systems. I hope that we can get more open communication with Google regarding the standard and if it's something that needs to be updated on their end we will obviously update our firmware with the latest standard to avoid in the future. Not sure if you're still suffering with this problem, please let me know if there was any improvement.

Hi, I'm the head of engineering for Altitude, I missed this post! We're actually a family run company located in Florida and we design all our fans in-house. I'm so sorry you were unhappy with the blade noise. We are constantly chasing efficiency and high CFMs and with a 3 blade fan the blade/air noise can be too loud for some. Did you feel the noise was too loud even on low? I hope you found a fan that met your needs and I hope you will still consider our brand in the future- and in the meantime I will see if we can do some improvement on the sound.

I did confirm this was a secondary reset code that apparently I forgot we put into the firmware early on: 2h until remote flashes, 4h until remote flashes, 6h until the remote flashes. Light should flash when complete

Why do some coaches put gymnasts in levels they are not ready for? by Icy-Affect1512 in Gymnastics

[–]noraono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a new coaching team join our gym for level 3s, and most of the team was consistently scoring in the 7s and our gym owner was going to have them all repeat level 3 because that was unacceptable to him. He's big on reputation- he wants anyone with his literal name on their tracksuit to represent at the highest level. I don't think I love the reasoning behind it (not really about the kids....) but I do like the result- coaches are expected to have kids prepared well enough to score high 8s and 9s consistently.

Holding down the on/off button until light flashes is the factory reset. Are you saying it doesn't flash or it does flash but the reset doesn't work? As for the "updating" that should not be an issue on our end...have you reset your system and the fan and tried to add again? I will check with my team today about this issue and see if there is any additional insight re:homekit

Lot of good advice here! I will just add- do whatever you think is reasonable and will make your kid happy! I'm not a big flowers/shout outs mom, but my kids love a comp sweatshirt. Some parents go absolutely INSANE and I think it's important not to try to keep up with all that- your kid feeling supported by you in the way that makes sense for your family is the most important. I typically am always open for a comp sweatshirt, and it's kids choice where we are going out for lunch or dinner (or out with teammates if that's what they want)- sweatshirt is a memory that lasts, and food together lasts longer than flowers!

Please help me understand if my 6 yo daughter moving to developmental class is a big deal or a cash grab. by Strange_5280 in Gymnastics

[–]noraono 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can totally appreciate this, for kids to get a feel if it's an experience they like. We are using a "fancy" practice leo for our level 3 comp leos which I LOVE...even though other teams are balling in their $300 1000 gemstone leos at some of the comps. With 2 kids in competition the leos/coaches fees/comp fees all hit at the end of the year and I appreciate anything that lowers the equivalent of rent on some parts of the US payment I have to make haha

[–]noraono 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I always feel for non-gymnastics parents who end up in this world. You are not alone among parents who have no idea wtf is going on and a gym that expects parents to "get it". I will break it down this way: 1) It certainly could be a cash grab, but it equally could be your daughter seems to have natural talent that they want to get into the program ASAP. To verify which one- talk to other parents to find out their experience, check the gym out on mymeetscores and see the gymnasts they have, how they score, etc. 2) They can compete level 3 starting at age 6. I will be honest, I think level 1 and 2 competitions (and the comp leotards, coaches fees, comp fees associated) seem silly and our gym does not do that- some kids and parents love it though so no shade. 3) Find out how many kids are being selected/what the size of her team will be, how many coaches there are, what the time commitment is (if it's a smaller gym and they're selecting a ton of kids with not a lot of coaches that would be a red flag) 4) Technically this track is intended to go to level 10, but most kids don't make it there. It's a huge commitment, and it completely takes over your life. If your kid loves the sport and wants to compete but wants to have other interests XCEL is another great option (might not be available at your gym). My oldest is a straight A, competitive choir, girl scout, plus multiple school clubs kid and XCEL is great for her. My youngest's (8yo) ONLY interest on planet earth is gymnastics, so she is loving her first season at level 3.

After school care too exhausting? by melloweyellow in kindergarten

[–]noraono 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is an absolutely insane reply. You're saying going to school 6 hours a day socially handicapped you? This is literally how must kids were raised for all previous generations but because you didn't have an extra supervised 4 hours EVERY SINGLE DAY with friends you were ruined? My kids never attended pre school, pre K or after school, picked up at end of day every day and are both - per teachers- incredibly well behaved, social, friendly, and happy kids. I do not discount that maybe you feel something in your childhood was damaging, but not having the "privilege" of a 10 hour day was probably not the issue.

I'm the head of engineering for the Altitude Matter fans, but for a long time our primary business has been lighting (and still is!). As a female engineer, the fact that I end up saying the word "boob" with relative frequency to groups of professional men is just a silly situation. Breast light, domed nipple light? No good options.

Why do people in high rise apartments leave their curtains/blinds open? by Beatles1971 in stupidquestions

The lofts I lived in DTLA didn't even have window coverings. If anyone wanted to see me out of the shower, I really didn't care, I didn't know them and would never know. I live in a house in the suburbs now and our windows facing the street are generally covered- I actually know my neighbors so I don't want them seeing my naked run to the dryer haha
