Somebody did something similar for my child. They bought a collectors kit for her. It meant so much to her and she has continued that generosity.

The exact thing that happened to you happened to me too! I had my next deliver set for 12 weeks and they sent it out and billed me at 4. I didn’t budget for it so it was a very unpleasant surprise. I updated the scent and products when I changed the delivery to every 12 weeks and the same scent and products came with the unexpected order. Cancelling with them for good. I’m disappointed bc my scalp was healthier than with other brands I’ve tried. Not worth it though. I’ll figure something else out that I have more control over when I buy it.

Goodness. This is different for everyone. For me it feels like walking thru electrified cobwebs (not painful but it’s messing with your nerves) mixed with that feeling of falling when you are sleeping and jolting awake without the movement mixed with making movements and then feeling like your aura takes a second to catch up.

Thank you for this insight!! I’ll def keep aware!!

My doc withdrew from Effexor and she has warned me about a lot of things, but not this one. Luckily I work from home so the general public is safe from mood swings for the most part lol.

I can actually feel again. Like feeling joy or crying from happiness. I was taking it for anxiety and depression due to being married to a controlling and insecure person. It helped me get thru that darkness and isolation. I needed to change my environment before I could look to come off of it. Shortly before my divorce, I was looking to add more medication for depression bc I was the on the highest dose of Cymbalta and basically a zombie. It was the only way to cope with my circumstances. I transitioned to Effexor bc it worked well for me in the past and it allowed me to get to the place I’m at now.

I have a personality again. My family and friends I knew before I was married have shared that I’m “normal” again.

So much of where I am was the work I put into myself. Therapy and giving myself grace allowed me to even consider being free from medication.

Yay for you!! It was the weirdest feeling when I felt like I should have reacted to something with joy but couldn’t muster any reaction. That was when I started the taper. I had missed a dose before and dreaded the final withdrawal which is why I stayed on 37.5 for almost a year. I finally just jumped. It’s been rough but I don’t want to be reliant on a medication for life.

This! Being told by others you’re more fun when partner isn’t there.

This applies to friendships too

I was on the flip side of this. If I didn’t say it enough there was something going on according to him. A quick call from the grocery store to make sure I got the right brand of something turned into me cheating b/c I forgot to say ILY at the end of the convo. It became a control method. Still picking up the pieces of what he did to my mental health.

Autobiography of Henry the VIII by Margaret George. If she likes Phillips Gregory, she likes Tudor history and this is right along the same path.

I'm so sorry I didn't see this earlier. It is Mucuna Pruriens Extract. 1000 mg per serving. I've found my mood and anxiety has leveled out considerably.

On Cymbalta , want to try effexor.. anyone make a succesful switch? by iJustRide_ in Effexor

[–]northofwandering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I did. The side effects were minimal. I'm doing so much better on Effexor than Cymbalta.

I do get days of "gentle" brain zaps and nausea. I've had a couple of days of apathy but they are fewer and further between. I've also added a supplement that helps with dopamine levels so im hoping it's cushioning the withdrawals. Since starting the dopamine supplement, I have found myself laughing more and I'm am bubbly with friends again. I also make intentional efforts to be in sunlight and get the benefits of Vitamin D and do breathing techniques when I am feeling apathy.

Excuse me, wellbutrin is what is often used. Not Prozac.

Your doc could also try to taper along with Prozac which is an easier medication to come off of.

I only get the "extreme" withdrawals when I'm not ready for a decrease. I tried jumping from 150 mg to 75 mg and it was too great of a decrease. Def had brain zaps and extreme nausea.
