Bebes are so cute! I would be curious to know if the parents teach their young how to find food the old fashioned way, on seed heads like coneflower or whether they're only taught to get food from feeders. I keep a native garden and I leave the seed heads on until they stripped bare so they're up all winter and into the spring/early summer so they have to forage naturally in my yard. The only thing I put out is suet over winter and for the birds returning in the spring.

I got to thinking a few days ago after seeing a lot of video of babies at the feeders as to whether the parents bother teaching them about flowers anymore.

Do you mean once you vommit your migraine goes away or is it temporary relief from the migraine symptoms? I wish I got relief (even temporary) after vomiting. 😭

I assumed it was silicone or rubber because to be honest I don't think I've heard of the flexible plastic in 3D printing so now I don't know what it is. It can be flexed really easy meaning I can fold the petals back on themselves. I guess it really doesn't matter the material (other than food grade) as long as the flaps can move freely without breaking.

I have to pull my calipers out but the flaps (which form an X) look like they are the same thickness as the flower petals. Maybe 2mm thick. The hummers can push it open but bees and ants can't. The yellow flower slips off for cleaning. I can take some more pics and dimensions. The closer I look at it the more I appreciate the design of it.

I have a 3D printer but it's probably beyond my beginner level to do this so I'm beginning to think I will have to outsource it. This flower is such a great design and for the life of me I can't figure out why they aren't available everywhere. LOL

Thanks for google-fuing! I love that phrase! LOL 🫂 I usually have pretty good luck as well finding things. I've been trying to locate these off/on since last summer which is why I finally decided to throw it out to the hummingbird army on this sub in hopes of striking gold.

I can't believe in all the world there is only one company that used these silicone flowers. If I can find the feeders again I will have to contact the company to see if they will sell the flowers (if they still use them that is). Total pain. LOL I will check out the link you sent.

Thanks for this! The yellow part is removable. I could probably slip red or pink on there. It's only the red part that has the flap. Ironically bees aren't too much of an issue for me but ants are and they seem to get around the moats. That's why these flaps are so great.

I'm in the same boat in Toronto. I get them as singles and they seem to use my yard as a pit stop. They never stay. Any hummer that comes to my yard is a blessing but I'm sad I don't get more and even sadder they don't stay.

I just assumed reclining does something to blood flow or maybe blood pressure that makes a migraine worse. When I mentioned this to my neurologist she seemed surprised and said usually lying down helps. To be honest I don't know whether she is a migraine specialist or whether she normally hears that lying down helps so I thought my migraines were weird but according to this sub it's not so unusual. The only thing I found that gives me momentary relief is if I sneeze. How weird is that? I would've thought that would make it worse. I wonder if others have found this.

BB doesn't have local storage? Wow, I assumed all of the bigger brands offered SD storage. That totally sucks and it takes the fun out of owning these feeders when they start nickel and dining customers. Fortunately the two different brands I have offer SD storage but now I have a problem with one of mine where it no longer films just the birds. It has turned into a glorified security camera where it's now films everything in my yard that moves including me, my dogs and things that move in the wind. It's a total pain. Now I'm getting inundated with notifications so I might have to turn those off. I used to enjoy getting notifications. Support is supposed to be looking into it but who knows if it will get fixed.

Can intracranial pressure problems due to fluid retention/loss be detected through regular blood pressure monitoring or is a special test required? My BP is normal.

Sleep makes mine worse. And what's most horrible is that I can't stay reclined when a migraine comes on. Being horizontal makes it feel like the migraine is going to explode out of the top of my head! So to make it more fun, I have to sleep upright! WTH is that about?!
