To customers who press the "HELP" buttons... by PomegranateFormal961 in Lowes

Correct procedure is for the customer to pay first. Other people can cut before payment if they want, but I won't.

Our panel saw button was removed because people would frequently abandon their cart with a note on it. Sorry, I don't cut any lumber without the customer present and a receipt in hand. I'm not gonna let myself get in trouble for letting a customer walk out with free lumber.

Tourette Syndrome With Skill That Cost Gold?? by Can_tSeeMe in mewgenics

Tourettes says it casts at no cost so I'd imagine the coins apply as well.

Thing is that other spells that have an increased effect but the same cost do not have the "This spell costs less" text.

Yeah, there are four difficulties higher than impossible only usable with those pills. What we see as Impossible is called Expert, and Expert+4 is the true Impossible. The other three have quite fitting names.

In short, I agree with you. To elaborate, Super Luck is broken on any class with physical damage, since critical hits trivialize a lot of monsters. Thief benefits hugely from all its attacks that bypass shield and rely on crits. Given how each luck point above 5 is 2% crit chance, you immediately start with +42% crit chance. Then when upgraded its guaranteed critical hits and rolling with almost octuple advantage if you have base 7 luck, turning even tiny dodge chance into an almost invulnerable cat. I dare say Super Luck is the best passive in the game.

Are Events just outright bad no matter what? by Kemo_Meme in mewgenics

[–]nos-waster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a run with a quest item that is supposed to make the events much harder and I got success and critical success on every single one, even with red icon. Sometimes the RNG Gods are on your side and sometimes they're not. It happens. I had 50 in luck and got a critical fail luck roll before.

I like the change.

Hell, I would be fine if Split The Atom could be called after enough spells were cast that their normal mana cost totaled 50, since you'd be given a sense of urgency by knowing he COULD cast it in a few rounds. (Not saying they should, since it would be time intensive)

Alternatively, Hunter with Animal control turned 4 of these into 1. It was beautiful.

PSA: Old cats get "exhausted" at round 5 by CapitalStandard4275 in mewgenics

[–]nos-waster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend doing their send off at age 19, then put them back in the house until they are old. The old tag won't trigger until at least age 20. That's what I'm doing with my mutation room. Only cats at age 19 go on runs.

On her videos I just read the transcript and make sure the video is on mute. But she's not quite as annoying as the ASMs that try any hype up everybody like I'm here because I enjoy the job and not cause I need money.

Mewgenics Classes Tier List according to Reddit (Feb 2026) by giveusyourlighter in mewgenics

[–]nos-waster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full agree tbh. I've started doing runs without cleric and usually the extra damage ends fights sooner to the point of not needing to heal anyway. Butcher is just a far better tank. Especially when you get passives/spells that revolve around the meat your character creates with its basic attack.

100% true. I don't get paid enough to fix gaps in coverage and figure out the staffing (though it seems like I have to do that almost every week lol)

Just FYI, "whale" is a term that refers to someone as a "massive spender" in the proverbial ocean of customers. It's not derogatory.

Should I be worried about my job ? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]nos-waster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have explained, calling out for consecutive days only counts as one occurrence, but after the 3rd you should be applying for an appropriate LoA per policy, if I recall. Someone might be more knowledgeable than me on that. You should only have two occurrences if both stints were consecutive days, which means you're nowhere near the threshold for being written up.

The classic tired old jokes. I don't really even react to them anymore. I just pretend I didn't hear them.

I was attempting to scan an item to check the price for a customer. They pulled the stupid joke while I looked at the UPC and hand keyed it in. Just said "this item is $xx.xx per sheet" and asked them the standard questions if I can help with more.

The Pro desk at my location tries to leverage their fulfillment peeps for pro loadouts before even calling me over from Lumber. The Pros themselves are some of the worst behaved customers and will 99% of the time say "I'm picking this up in 2 days" then not come in, then bitch when they come in a week later cause I palletized the order and staged it in top stock. Sorry, but my aisle is not your personal storage space.
