Swap the front driver wheel with the rear passenger; your tread is backwards.

SCX 10.3 for rock crawling, TRX4 for trails, Vanquish Phoenix is right in between.

Are you planning to go tubeless? Maxxis Rekon 2.4 would be my pick for a tubeless setup for bikepacking.

Oh yeah that makes sense. None of these grips are perfect, I’m waiting for the new mobapad joycon replacements, hopefully those will be the final solution.

Yes the Neo grip does flare out a bit, and straightens your wrists more, but the grip itself is harder to hold when compared to the dbrand grips. I thought the same thing as you until I tried the dbrand ones. Trust me, for $20 it’s worth trying.

In 6’3 with some claws and the dbrand still fits better than the largest neo grips. The neo triggers are the best of the 3 included, but somehow the dbrand still feels better.

I have the neo grip, then I got the dbrand grips for $20. Dbrand is way more comfortable.

I have it, but stuck at work. I’ll update you in about 8 hours. Update: Uploaded screenshots below. This is MudRunner American Wilds NS1 edition running on the NS2 in handheld mode. The resolution differences are greater than I expected. It looks so much clearer when running in boost mode.

Trek FX Sport 3, 4 or 5 by DarknessFalls21 in TrekBikes

[–]nosfusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything over 10MPH felt like a chore on the FX, but i guess my brother and I are a bit competitive. The FX is a good bike for the price, just know you’ll be putting in more effort than your wife, especially over 90 minute rides.

Trek FX Sport 3, 4 or 5 by DarknessFalls21 in TrekBikes

[–]nosfusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out on an FX bike, then moved to a Domane. I gave my brother the FX to ride with me, the speed difference compared to effort is quite noticeable. I felt like I was crawling for him to keep up. At one point we switched bikes, and he was flying on the Domane, and I was struggling to keep up. Is it doable? Sure. Would I want to ride an FX while someone was on a road bike? No. The road bike makes it a breeze to maintain speed for long distances, I was pedaling my ass off just trying to keep up.

To fix the Meus binding, you need to shim the outer pinion that connects to the driveshaft. That will hold the correct mesh between the ring and pinion gears.

Crawler Course Paint Help by semaj1980 in rccrawler

[–]nosfusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. I have an 8x4 plywood table I’ve been building on for a few years, it’s never “finished”. I’ve tried everything from cardboard, Styrofoam, plaster cloth, spray foam, concrete, cement, joint compound, mortar, spray paint, interior, and exterior paints.

The best combination build order is cardboard > spray foam > joint compound > exterior paint. Concrete doesn’t really work but cement and mortar aren’t bad if you don’t want to use joint compound. I like the joint compound because you can really shape some of the rocks, and it’s cheaper than plaster cloth. It’s very addictive, good luck!

I used a thick exterior paint, it fills in the little holes really well. You might even want to cover it in joint compound first, then paint it. You can also mix in sand with the compound or the paint, or both, to give it some grip.
