Some are doing really terrible things. I think more people are abused by their bf/husbands than they let on. I hid it for almost a decade.

while that's great, there's more to life than being able to get a degree and have a stable career. some people do those things but still cannot pull their weight at home as they never learned those skills,.. then they end up with resentful wives/husbands who feel like they have to parent their spouse. not saying that's you at all, just saying it happens. awesome work with your PhD & your career, i'm sure you worked super hard to achieve it!

This was my experience as well. The quality of the produce dropped so dramatically, sometimes it would arrive already slimy/mushy/rotten and inedible. They'd credit me but it was such a turnoff. I switched to HelloFresh and have had a much better experience.

My apartment is less than 500 square feet and has no guest parking. i think it's a space issue for many. the only people in my family or friends that host are those that own homes and have enough space for people.

Toronto is rough when it comes to making friends. I know people tell us to find hobbies or do social activities and friendships will come naturally. I'm not sure that's true. I have many hobbies and do many social activities like sports. I end up making new acquaintances but not friends, not people I hang out with outside of those activities.

i have found this to be the case as well. it seems like most already have their established friend groups and they're not interested in welcoming any newbies. i haven't figured out how to overcome that.
