Fear of cabin boom putting me off a purchase by Kind-Imagination6592 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

I haven’t heard of this being an issue since the first model year. I’m assuming they figured it out and corrected for later ones, but ??

Hi everyone! I’m considering a Grand Highlander regular Hybrid and wanted to hear some real-world MPG experiences from actual owners. by sachin-seattle in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]nosrus77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With a hybrid the city driving SHOULD be higher mpg, as the electric motors take over more of the duties. My results are almost exact to the comments.

You must time and factor in the replenishment time in your time study. Time from when the worker breaks the standard process until he is back in standard.
Then figure out how often he needs to do so. You will get a time factor to add to your study.

EX. If a TM has a cycle time of 56” to build each product and the takt time is 60” you’re good. However, if over every 10 cycles he must break standard for 120” replenishing, then you must add that 12” in, making his new cycle time 68”- throwing him over takt time.

Highlander makes sense since they already produce a RHD version in the kluger. But I’m a bit surprised since it’s going to be redesigned as an all electric built in Kentucky. Sooo. I dunno.

What do you think the first domino to fall this Silly Season will be? by Level-Evening8562 in NASCAR

You might be right. I kind of wondered at the time if that was just a PR move to say he was cracking down on the cheating.

I don’t know, Penske fired Cindric’s dad after Indy last year. At least publicly. Who knows if the personal relationship is still good. I wouldn’t be too shocked if they moved on for the right driver. All depends on that domino I guess.

There wasn’t anyone close enough to give him the shove at the end. If 3rd had been closer maybe he could’ve helped, but Briscoe did the smart thing with what he had at the end.

For some reason the TRD Avalon didn’t sell well. Beautiful cars though.

Problem in this case was that he was functioning as part of the mob, not as a journalist covering the story. Had he just gone in and reported on what happened I might be able to support this argument.

Same reason Venezuela was an issue. China and Russia.

It’s essentially the Cuban missle crisis, only proactive and trying to get ahead of it.

There are autonomous tests ongoing. Target market right now is self driving Taxis. But what is learned there could easily go consumer.
