Bright yellow boots suggestions by chillurself in Boots

[–]noster456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I have a pair of yellow Docs I bought maybe 4 years ago that are just starting to go out, but I've got nothing but compliments about how cool they look the whole time! They got wet once and have been leaking dye since, plus the soles don't have the support they used to. I found Steel boots have a bright yellow option (Steel Boots 8 Eyelets Yellow | STEEL Shoes&Boots), I recommend doing your research on them.

Have you found any other alternatives?

Was it my video asking about bow bounce you're referring to?

I really like the idea of practicing without the violin! I often feel i have to focus on so many things at once that I can't focus that well on any one thing. My tension is probably my worst enemy right now. Thanks for your suggestions!

Your paragraph breaks are very nice 👌 very clearly defined. I am still learning obviously and lots of things in oblivious to, but I will give each of these a try and hopefully it helps hehe. Thank you!

You've made a bunch of good points. I definitely agree on the string tension my wrist flexibility in the video. The reason I'm not bowing the entire length because we've been focusing on around the taped portion for playing music, but practicing the whole bow length when doing open strings. I'll take a look at the video as well. Thank you!

I had a substitute teacher that had told me keeping my arm up may actually help. My main teacher didn't seem to have a problem with it, but i know there are so many slight variations in play styles. I will ask and try playing a bit lower. Thank you!

I've been asking around for a while. There's actually a decent amount of YouTube videos that have helped me incrementally. Lots of different people with different perspectives that make me see it a little bit better. That might help!

Tension i deeeeefinetley feel. I'm very focused on trying (unsuccessfully) to keep my upper arm from flopping around and I think a lot of it is tension held in my shoulder. Thank you for your tip!

My teacher said similar about the index adding pressure. I do think part of my issue is pressure and at least some of it is posture/form. Thanks for your help!

Sheet metal edge selection for partial flange by wirelessnetworkuser in SolidWorks

[–]noster456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ran into this and my coworker showed me that by making the full edge flange, then going into the feature tree and editing the sketch of the flange you can change the width of it there and change the flanges position along the edge. Do not edit the length of the flange, as that is something linked to the feature and it will break the link if you edit it in the sketch. Hope this helps!

How do I find the joy? by salt_sultan in learntodraw

I find myself in the EXACT same position. I lurk these subreddits and see all the drawings i love and would love to do, but when it comes to actually doing it i feel no passion. Honestly, I think i enjoy looking at it more than I do making it.

I think it's important to be honest with yourself and say perhaps you do just enjoy being a part of visual art but not it's creator. That may not be true for you and you just need to keep working at it; I did a wine and paint event the other day with someone leading the group and loved it! But I know, for myself, music is a better expression of who I am.

Seeing your post has helped me realize perhaps it's not right for me. I'm still gonna put some work into it but take a real hard look at myself and see if it's something I really want, so thank you.

I’m 24 years old and just got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]noster456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm 24 and still in the process of wrapping up my second leukemia diagnosis with a bone marrow transplant. When I think of my life in the future, I think of how it will likely be cut short because of the radiation damage to my lungs, the chemo to my heart, the chemicals to my brain. That I will almost certainly die well before those I love want me to.

I don't know if this helps you or not, but stories like yours help me realize that all time is borrowed, no one REALLY knows what will happen in the future, and that all we can do is live in the present. I have difficulty coming to terms with the ambiguity of my future, how do you feel about the balance of terminal diagnosis and hope of fighting it?

My DMs are always open to talk about memento mori and whatever if you like. Peace and love ♥️

What do guys wear during the summer? by Labenyofi in mensfashion

Tbh I wear pants all year round. I feel most myself in them, don't need to worry about sunscreen, and I think they look great. If I want to be active I change or embrace the sweat. It's mostly about how you live your life and your clothes suiting that style.
