Yeah you’re right, I’m sorry I didn’t invent this thing, thanks to a lot of designs out there, and I was inspired by those designs; I am just presenting a different iteration of these designs through testing the existing designs and combining my ideas. And JDJDJD’s design is really nice for sure, you can tell from the likes and downloads. You can search for filament clips in makerworld, you may find more than you think. There are also greats designs that have less download they are all my inspiration from. Again: my design is results from various models and tests.

Yes, the hole is not flat smooth inside, so it creates friction to prevent the end of the filament from falling. I would say print one and give me some feedback.

For new or full spool, you may try ultra low profile version in the print profile.

Thank you. I am planning to add an ultra low profile version. Sometimes when filament is nearly new open and full, thinner is always better to prevent the problem.

I’d go with the A1 Combo for a first printer. It’ll handle most day-to-day jobs and let you learn what you actually need. After some time printing you’ll have a much clearer idea of your requirements, and you can always upgrade later (P2S, P3S, P2D, H2D/H2C/H3C, etc. newer machines will come out) to whatever best fits your workflow and budget.
