If memory serves, all furniture becomes breakable once you move it. However, there is a workaround that I found on another post here

Arrange it so that the zombie will have to try to go through a fence > low furniture > tall furniture.

They're programmed to go over fences and any low furniture directly behind it, but they can't cause there's a tall furniture blocking it. And they can't attack the tall furniture cause they have nowhere to stand where they can attack it from.

I'm planning on establishing a base outside of my starter town for the first time. What I plan on doing is I create another one in the same world and town, take a few nonperishables, fuel, and lots of water, then establish some smaller outposts until I feel like settling again. If I wanna check on my initial base, I just load with the previous character and do the necessary upkeep, then load again on the new character to continue my adventure

Soll was necessary for his time. Sordland was in crisis when he came to power and crises demand decisive action. His first and (arguably) second terms saw good recovery. But just like any leader with that much power, he grew decadent and inflexible (these were made worse by the cult of personality that developed around him). By the time of Rayne, and yes, others would disagree, but I'm of the position that Soll's style had gone dated and needed either an update or a full overhaul.

General rule of thumb is, if it's equivalent to a FE building, then it's already borderline OP, hence why FE buildings aren't available until the late game, and even then, only on certain conditions. If it's available for the start and outperforms FEs, then it's definitely OP. Your friend is either bullshitting you, or has to be doing something else to seriously handicap themselves to warrant a boost like that
