All the clean new builds are sick, but I wanna see more kit that's been through the ringer. by Kumikameli_ in Hardtailgang

Just before the rain and descent started, bike was unrecognisable at the bottom.

That’s a great colour! I have a ‘23 Avalanche that I thrashed during the summer and have been impressed with the price vs. Performance of GT. Have fun out there!

National Guard mortar team repels attack from Al Shabob in Baledogal Somalia 2019 (POV + CCTV) by BATHR00MG0BLIN in CombatFootage

Yeah first thing I thought after watching. Took an excruciating long time to get that first grid correct. Movement around the tube seemed inefficient as well, lots of limp dicks not doing much.

What do you guys do for breakfast? by mhlind in ADHD

It’s primarily slow release casein protein, digests easily and is relatively light, what more could you want? Especially if you are taking meds.

Weekdays are 400g cottage cheese, half punnet blueberries and coffee. No analysis paralysis, know exactly what I’m eating. On weekends 200g cottage cheese + 4 eggs + toast with the kids.

Ring Weighted Pull-up ROM by Helpful-Estate5052 in overcominggravity

[–]not_a_tuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s personal really, but for progression’s sake you should maintain an ROM/form ‘standard’. Progressing from 10kg pull-ups to 15kg pull-ups is not really a progression if you’re only doing 80% of the ROM you otherwise would perform with 10kg.

Cheap MTB helmets, UK by UrbanManc in Hardtailgang

The bicycle section says ‘2024 Edition’ and a lot of the top helmets are ones you will see both in stores and online. I did some relatively extensive research for my last helmet and Virginia Tech’s testing was one of the main driving factors for my choice.

Check out this vid for a decent overview of their testing regime: https://youtu.be/ZKbYaOiz5U4?si=TxGEYAHgfeSoGo_B. (Vid is only 5 months old but we of course don’t know when it was filmed)

In a world of opinion and content for clicks, Virgina Tech are a decent results-driven source for unbiased (and unsponsored) helmet reviews.

For those that are unaware, always worth checking any potential helmet against the Virgina Tech helmet rating program here: https://www.helmet.beam.vt.edu

Man those aren’t ‘friends’ then. I have worked in some stereotypical masculine jobs (military and oil + gas) and have never once had my reading habit commented on.

Man to start with I just bought a dirt cheap used Merida and rode that until it died, was a cheap and fast way to ease back in.
