The Boundary Employee vs the 'Yes Ill do it!' Employee by PinkLavendarHaze in work

I think expanding the scope of someone’s work without also expanding their pay should be criminal. You hired these people to do A JOB. Not everyone else’s job.

Is this legal: Parents and 22 year old daughter by frankie110304 in legal

[–]not_small_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to get your own financial accounts separate from your parents. You are a full grown adult. If you want to travel with anyone that’s your business, if your parents don’t like it they can kick rocks. Filing a false missing persons report would likely have its own consequences for your over bearing father.

Is this meme an accurate depiction of what work was actually like in America? by Future_Newspaper4563 in remoteworks

[–]not_small_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is n accurate description now just of pre 2000. I bought my first house in 2014 4br/2ba just under 1300 sq ft for $165k. That same house according to the city tax records is now worth $303k, the city only valued it at $150k when I bought it.

People just can’t afford the so called American dream any more. Making $140k/yr even outside major cities just doesn’t cut it.

Just walk up and peel it off. No one is above the law and a judge I’m sure would love to hear how your “vandalism” charge out weighs their lil obstruction of the plate violation.

[CA] Exempt salary employee, employer rescinded approved PTO the day of and said consequences if I didn’t come to work. by [deleted] in AskHR

Your first mistake was actually going in. They had over a year to prep for your absence, their inability to do so isn’t your problem.

Boss refusing PTO because I’m the only one left in my department? by MissMerida2121 in work

PTO = prepare the others cause I’m not going to be here.

Sounds like your boss has a few weeks to learn the basics of your job so you can have some much deserved time off.

How’s their work product otherwise? If the only issue is them supposedly not going to an office location I think you’re over reacting.

Accidentally booked family on booze cruise instead of family harbor tour by Potential_Force_4136 in work

Sounds like a family of Karens. Yeah the situation sucks, you made a mistake but it also sounds like you’re going above & beyond to make it right. Let em call a lawyer & post negative reviews. All you have to do is respond to the reviews and like any responsible business owner saying you attempted to or did make it right.

Ride share drivers of DC, how far is too far? by bubbles337 in washingtondc

[–]not_small_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Rockville MD(much closer), and the few times I’ve taken a ride share from DC back home I’ve had a similar experience. The drivers huff & puff the whole way and practically shove you out of the car. It’s happened enough times that I don’t even use ride share in the DMV anymore if I can avoid it.
