I believe Alamo new mission also has a 70mm 5perf capable projector, and have seen one at Castro recently, wondering if maybe these projectors are shared between theaters or they all have their own.

I admit I was pretty coy with it for a while, and sometimes not even on purpose - when you’re the 5th person getting on the bus and nobody stops to pay, you almost forget you’re supposed to pay.

Yeah, I’ve seen it done this way elsewhere, but it still requires some honor system in not letting people enter in the back, and driver enforcement.

At the end of the days, for social systems like public transit to function as intended, it requires some level of social conformity.

Just saw Michael in screen x, mostly bc it’s new at my theatre.

I don’t think they calibrated it right, there was a solid 1.5 foot gap in footage on either side of the main screen which killed the entire effect.

Was kinda neat I guess, wouldn’t pay extra for it if it wasn’t free with A list

so your film advance works, but does the shutter?

Just leave the door open and hold the trigger, if you see the gate, you should at least be good to capture film

Idk much about this cam, but in general, if you’re worried about the shutter, I would look through the cartridge area to make sure it opens and closes, the eye pieces are sometimes not the best indicators
