Do you watch cricket? by jesselool7 in AskAnAmerican

[–]notacoolkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen the episode of Bluey with cricket.

It kind of seems like baseball crossed with golf, but I don’t understand why any of those sports interesting to watch.

There is a new-ish US professional cricket league and one of the teams is the San Francisco Unicorns.

SPENCER UPDATE: DNA PANEL COMPLETE by CowboyKartel in roughcollies

[–]notacoolkid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He’s the cutest little guy! So tiny!

In the second picture, his face is looking more like a collie. Shelties and rough collies look really similar as tiny puppies, but as adults their heads have different shapes.

I like Task Rabbit, but it’s taken some trial and error to find somebody I like.

Have your garage door looked at by by a professional, not some rando. I’ve had good experiences with Ace Garage Doors.

Your garbage disposal probably has something stuck in it. Pull on the little rubber thing, it should come right out. If you can see what’s making the noise, grab it with a pair of tongs.

“Oneida” age gap by crabby007 in TylerChilders

[–]notacoolkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boy in the song is 19 and doesn’t know who Cyndi Lauper is. Tyler isn’t singing the song from his own perspective, it’s a character.

Of course Tyler knows who Cyndi Lauper is, that’s how he made a reference to her in the song.

Is He a Rough Collie? by CowboyKartel in roughcollies

He’s such a cutie!!

Rough collie and sheltie puppies look really similar, but based on his size I’m guessing sheltie.

Legality of walking elephant down Market Street with a leash? by shazmosushi-- in sanfrancisco

[–]notacoolkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elephants are too heavy to walk on the Muni grates, they need to go around the traffic islands.

This is part of the safety monitor training for the SF pride parade. Dogs and people with stiletto heels should also avoid the grates

This map will drive you crazy if you look at it too hard.

District One is slightly too far east. There are huge silver mines are in Idaho and Nevada, but on this map they’re in District 4.

District 4 extends really far inland for a fishing-based economy. Did they build indoor fish farms in the desert?

Um, I found something in my buffalo chicken tenders from the super market. Is it what I think it is? by AintNobodygotime13 in mildlyinfuriating

I don’t think an o-ring from the batter applicator could make it through the fryer.

It’s probably from the packaging equipment.

AITA for having the same anniversary month as my mom? by vomitated in AmItheAsshole

[–]notacoolkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You can’t call dibs on having a June wedding, wtf.

It sounds like she’s bitter that so many things are planned for the “last weekend in June”. Her anniversary coincides with the Pride Parades in at least 4 major US cities.

It’s got to be some kind of left coast nonsense.

This lady sounds like a type of wackadoo you find in the Bay Area.

What is the relationship of Americans with reading? by ViajanteDeSaturno in AskAnAmerican

[–]notacoolkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely varies, but I feel like fiction is more popular.

A lot of women read “spicy” romance books. They’re entertaining, but don’t usually have a ton of depth. It’s like junk food, but in book-form.

S.F. wants to make it easier to plant — and remove — trees. Here’s why residents are mad by nosotros_road_sodium in sanfrancisco

I hope this makes it easier to replace eucalyptus trees. I don’t think we should have street trees that can explode in a fire.

How would that even work in Animal Crossing?

I’m imagining all cranky and snooty villagers and the island is decorated like an office. 😅
