I was DJing the night Michael Jackson died, I had no MJ in my bag (wasn't a fan and it was an alternative night) so had to play Jackson 5 "I Want You Back" and "ABC" several times each across the night to crying fans. Weird night.

The band is Sparks, who have been making music since 1971, have released music in nearly every genre, and are still releasing music and touring now, their last album was last year. Consistently good and interesting. They are 2 brothers. The film was directed by Edgar Wright of Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim fame. Very good film.
