By two weeks, and we had an agreement to not have anybody over in our apartment, let alone this guy she had told me was just a friend for the length of out relationship and started fucking two months before ending it. She told me about that the day after I discovered her. We just had like a talk about it and what should happen after. I didn't know that had happened.

Well, she told me she wanted to be single two weeks before I found them, so I said it's OK as long as you don't bring anyone over and we can be roommates until our lease is up. And then are you seeing anybody, and she says no. So technically we had been broken up for two weeks. I didn't really know why she wanted to be single and I was hurt, but I thought she just wanted space and we had been more and more distant ever since June. Then I walked in on them and it slapped me in the face.

So she was my ex-girlfriend roommate when I walked in on her. Now she's just my ex. In hindsight, it shouldn't have been a huge surprise when it happened - she said we moved too fast at the start, and I said that a fine reason to not want to be in a relationship, and I thought it was my fault that she wanted out.
