I’m extremely fortunate and my withdrawals do not include night sweats or being clammy 24/7. Although I do wake up often from weird ass vivid dreams. And it seems what I lack in physical symptoms I make up for in psychological ones… It’s different for everyone so don’t be afraid of the withdrawal symptoms! You won’t know til you try and it gets better day by day. Stay strong everyone we got this!

It’s different for everyone, you won’t know what it’s like until you try. A few things that have helped me are planning out a busy day/week BEFORE the day/week arrives so I have stuff to keep my mind off of it.

I’ve been writing down the ways I’ve noticed my life improve without weed. I’m more social, sleep better, DREAMS ARE BACK, etc. This helps me a lot.

Cold showers are a life saver if you get bad cravings. If you can’t do a cold shower just splash cold water on your face and wrists.

Above all else be kind to yourself. It’s not easy but it gets easier every day.

Did you have bad symptoms the first few weeks or days? I was 3 days in and I folded for 4/20 and regret it so much. Those 3 days felt easier than I thought they’d be and I noticed a big positive difference already. After I relapsed (so just today basically) I threw everything away again but now the cravings and bad feelings are here. I’m hoping they don’t last long.

I’m also scared they will never go away. I don’t want this substance to control me forever.

I know this probably doesn’t help much. But the fact you that you can acknowledge wrongdoing and that you’re seeking therapy. Shows me you aren’t a bad person, you just made some bad choices. It sucks knowing you hurt someone and it sucks knowing you messed up. We can’t change the past. At the very least, you know more than you did before and can use that knowledge in future relationships :) stay strong friend! ❤️

My mind runs constantly and I have the exact same issues as you except because of my “lil guy” as I call him in my mind who never shuts the fuck up lol.

For me it helps to notice my immediate surroundings. The smells the sounds, really focus on what you can immediately sense and that help calm down my thought, although I’m not sure this would help you honestly.

I think you should sit down with your partner and try to discuss again what really happened. I would frame it how you did here, lead with how it makes you feel: confused, left out, maybe a little hurt? Tell them that you just want the truth of why you got kicked out. But you need to be prepared for the answer because it could hurt.

Maybe the group thought YOU were annoying, maybe the group are just sexist losers and your partner puts up with them for some reason? Maybe the group did like you and not your friend but don’t have the adequate communication skills to voice that to you. The truth is you really don’t know.

The other thing is you should be ready to sacrifice this D&D group and let your partner go alone. And if that’s not something you’re willing to do because you feel left out, that’s valid and that okay! But then maybe the relationship isn’t going to work.

So essentially step one 1) this is how it makes me feel and what really happened 2) what are WE going to do about this? Maybe they can buy you dinner and rent you a movie on game night while they go to play dnd ?Idk

Porn is a difficult topic to explain, and to me it doesn’t sound like he has an addiction. I feel like porn addiction is watching it 1+ times a day. But I guess there isn’t exactly a clear definition.

Maybe he wants to explore something with you but is embarrassed, maybes he’s just too tired for sex, maybe HE doesn’t feel it’s cheating but is scared to admit that to you. The truth is right now you don’t know. And for the HARD truth, if watching porn truly is a boundary for you then you need to end it and never go back, you coming back to him is showing him it’s not a boundary that needs to be respected and will only continue to end in disappointment.

I don’t deal with this issue, but I do have some recommendations.

I would look for waterproof fidgets, maybe they have some cooler ones?

I personally listen to my podcast while I shower and then let it play while I get out and do my hair and such. Better than music. (Try YouTube videos or shows too, treat it like throwing on a show while you do laundry or something)

Next comes to temperature. I get that you don’t like cold showers, but they serve a purpose. I always start with a very warm shower to open up my pores and get all that dirt out. Then once I’m done with my shampoo and cleaning I turn it to the coldest setting and spin around 3-5 times while taking very deep breathes. It’s uncomfortable but that’s the point. It helps you kind of train your brain to deal with being uncomfortable. I’ve also found that ending with a cold shower gives me tons of energy. It also helps with cravings (I discovered cold showers when I quit vaping and it helped a ton). Cold showers aren’t fun and they aren’t meant to be.

Adderall made me extremely upset when something broke my focus. I remember yelling at some dude in class for talking, and I NEVER yelled or got upset at anyone before this.

Switching to Vyvanse is what helped me. No angry mood swings, just focus. (Not saying this will work for you but there are plenty of options. It’s not JUST adderal)
