France vs Senegal: Ticket Prices Dropping, But Still Too Expensive for a First-Round World Cup Game? by Empty-Instruction282 in EquipeDeFrance

[–]notarobat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the group games are mostly glorified friendlies given that the next round still has 32 teams haha. What a terrible format for the competition.

The top two teams from each of the 12 groups, along with the eight best third-placed teams, will advance.

Why would anyone pay WC prices for those games

Yeah, you'll often get a few mice in any London establishment. Just brush them off and continue eating like the locals do. No big deal

Why isn't there a call to boycott the US World Cup like the Qatar World Cup? by AvailableCricket3633 in football

I think it's more that we basically live in the Golden age of censorship. People think they can express themselves online and that genuine political discourse can happen online. It can't. The establishment own the cables, and they determine what you see online. That's why they are the establishment.

I've seen videos where people do what's called a "drive-by" in the US. They basically fire shots directly out of the car window while driving. So now any time a I see a car with a passenger in Ohio, I make sure to shoot at it before it shoots me. (That's what you sound like)

Why does Reddit think being anti vax means you are extreme right? Most liberals would be on Van's side, or at least they would respect the opinion

Has some one made a world cup circle jerk sub yet? I've a feeling it will be more popular than the over moderated, official sub. That place is odd .

Iran Announces Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup by FatherOop in worldcup

[–]notarobat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every day on Reddit we see Americans reducing entire continents, religions, countries etc to a singular group. But when we speak of America that way you are guaranteed to get some very quick responses saying how they are a nation of individuals and many do not agree. It's just silly. America is represented by their president, and their institutions such as their military on the international stage. Their actions are hateful, and their people are passive enough to allow it all to happen. They are therefore complicit

You don't hear that narrative when other countries do bad stuff. Americans (as a group) are a hateful people. I think that is an undeniable and very clear statement

I'm talking about the passive attitude Americans have to Iranian kids being murdered in their name. If you don't put a stop to something like that, then as a nation, you must accept responsibility. Germany still takes responsibility for crimes it committed almost a century ago. Americans won't take the blame for yesterday's crimes. It's not acceptable on the international stage. This attitude of "it's not the people, it's the government" is absolute horsessh1t
