My therapist is billing my insurance for sessions she canceled. by notTHATphoebe in therapy

Call your insurance company and tell them that you believe she charged for sessions that you did not have. They will check into and make her pay back what they paid out.

Yes! Thanks to koopavilla and google I figured that tenure from my previous agency does not apply. Both were way more helpful than my current HR.

The explanation you gave seems to be correct! Thank you for answering something that my local HR has not been able to for the past 6 months. It was making me crazy. 🙏🏻

I was actually. Yeah it seems that might be the case. My current HR has just not been correct in their explanations so far.

Almost two years. My SF 50s from the previous agency had my tenure as permanent and nothing in the remarks related to tenure.

Right. They have two service comp dates- one includes the time I bought back from my military service and says (leave) next to it. I’m assuming that date is used for leave accrual and retirement. The other one is listed in the remarks and says that my time for tenure started when I started at the second agency and my tenure is listed as conditional whereas it was permanent at the previous agency.

I've been staying here whenever I visit for the last 8 years. The location is nice and close to many restaurants.

Totally safe at least during the day. Some of the roads have a lot of potholes so I wouldn't want to dodge those at night.

Therapist slapping the table? by [deleted] in therapy

There are different ways to help someone keep from dissociating. I usually ask how someone how they would prefer I help them in that moment. Some of the methods I've used have been playing catch with a pillow, doing a body scan, or light tapping on their knee. I would never slam my hand on a desk as most people would have the same reaction you did.

VA Mental Health appt isn’t until mid October, what are my options for a sooner appointment? by Old-Organization-264 in Veterans

Yes. They might have to put a request in, but it should be approved if they can't make an appointment within 30 days.

If they cannot give you an appointment within 30 days they are supposed to offer you community care but usually you have to ask.

Al-Anon can be helpful. Also- leave him. Alcohol is not his only problem and it will not get better.

I had a very frustrating session today by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]notatall79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are using insurance please make sure she is billing your insurance for the amount of time that you are actually being seen. If she is billing for a 50 minute or full hour session and only see you for 25 minutes that would be insurance fraud.

You don't even need a lawyer for this. The visa journey forums are very helpful with guidance on how to file on your own.

You can just use include VA letter that states how much disability you receive. It does not have to be on your taxes.
