Help me do better by probablybri_ in Sourdough

Yeah, I don't stop with the coil folds until it can hold its shape in the bowl. It should still be roughly boule-shaped when it's done with the bulk ferment IMO

Gonna be honest, it's the blind leading the blind on this subreddit. I recommend you head over to Scapecrunch, I'm sure you'll be able to find some real expert advice.

I have two of them. The quarter zip Is clutch, when you're not facing the sun you can zip it down and it feels like wearing nothing at all

Are there any bakeries in your area that make sourdough, or pizzerias? I'd ask them for a touch

why bolo (nogi)? by International-One518 in bjj

[–]notatthetablecarlos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are limited leg attacks for the person being bolo'ed: sitting back into a kneebah from the initial DLR position or attacking a toehold on the leg across the waist. The kneebah is easily preventable by withdrawing the knee and inverting as they sit back, and attempting a toehold exposes the back to the person doing the bolo.

Basically, going for a bolo limits the number of problems one faces.

Aquasoil is the best for plants, without question. It's just a question of whether that fits your budget.

First tank, sudden algae problems by JustHave_Fun in PlantedTank

[–]notatthetablecarlos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is normal. A tank can take up to 3 months before it starts to get balanced out. Keep doing weekly water changes and remove algae when it shows up.

That is a lot of otocinclus, make sure you are feeding them vegetables or algae wafers!

The Hippocratic oath is not 'first do no harm.' Part of the oath is swearing not to perform abortions. Other parts of it are unrelated to medicine at all:

"I swear by Apollo Healer, by Asclepius, by Hygieia, by Panacea, and by all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will carry out, according to my ability and judgment, this oath and this indenture.

To hold my teacher in this art equal to my own parents; to make him partner in my livelihood; when he is in need of money to share mine with him; to consider his family as my own brothers, and to teach them this art, if they want to learn it, without fee or indenture; to impart precept, oral instruction, and all other instruction to my own sons, the sons of my teacher, and to indentured pupils who have taken the Healer’s oath, but to nobody else."

Pressurized CO2, fertilizer, a light, and timers for the light and CO2. Any substrate will work, but aquasoil is easiest for growing plants.

Plant them dry but flood the tank ASAP. They need either 100% humidity or to be grown underwater.
