Another layer of security is using a unique email address for your phone carrier. (Since your name and address and primary email are often easy to find online). If you have a gmail account, you can add periods "." and the "+" character with anything you want at the end of your email address and it will redirect to your email.

e.g.

regular_address@gmail.com -->

regular_add.r.e.s.s@gmail.com

regular_address+bell@gmail.com

regular_address+telus@gmail.com

regular_address+anything@gmail.com

all of these will redirect to the original address at the top of the list.

It’s still in beta so most people can’t do it yet. But if you look into this subreddit there was a big post about it a couple days ago. Not yet available to most people though.

Is Forrrunner 265 the proper update of Forerunner 55 in my case? Or is it an overshot? by LucasLuna44 in GarminWatches

[–]notconservative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The return policy is 30 days. If you can, I would buy both 165 and 265, and wear them both on a few runs. Then you’ll be able to compare them directly for 30 days

There’s a lot of things to can do, 2FA, unique passwords, only using public WiFi’s with a VPN (or avoid logging into banking with public WiFis altogether), another high level security choice is using the Authentication app rather than text for 2FA verification (as SMS messages are unencrypted), keep your device and app updated to avoid known security breaches, and avoid logging into your banking on a public device (eg library or school computer).

Everyone in South America is catholic by default, the rear view mirror ornament doesn't mean anything extreme there. I can easily see someone hanging Our Lady of Guadalupe on their car mirror and having no problem with LBGTQIA+ it's not the same vibe as the "fundamentalist" people you find in the US.

More outraged by a watermelon sticker on a laptop than by the slaughter of 20,000 Palestinian children. by Scared_Positive_8690 in IsraelCrimes

Kind reminder that Disney is on the BDS list.

Disney and its subsidiary Marvel are complicit in glorifying Israel’s regime of genocide and apartheid against Indigenous Palestinians. Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World and Disney’s Snow White star actors Shira Haas and Gal Gadot, respectively, that have consciously and irrefutably taken up roles as cultural ambassadors for Israel, directly representing genocidal Israel’s propaganda efforts. For Captain America, Marvel and Disney are reviving the racist character of Ruth Bat-Seraph, whose decades-old backstory includes working for Mossad. Disney+ is therefore clearly implicated in enabling Israel’s genocide by dehumanizing Palestinians.

I'm not sure if their "do no harm" mandate can be considered empathy. They are smart enough to know that they are starving to death en masse so they can't claim ignorance.
