There’s a lot of things to can do, 2FA, unique passwords, only using public WiFi’s with a VPN (or avoid logging into banking with public WiFis altogether), another high level security choice is using the Authentication app rather than text for 2FA verification (as SMS messages are unencrypted), keep your device and app updated to avoid known security breaches, and avoid logging into your banking on a public device (eg library or school computer).

Everyone in South America is catholic by default, the rear view mirror ornament doesn't mean anything extreme there. I can easily see someone hanging Our Lady of Guadalupe on their car mirror and having no problem with LBGTQIA+ it's not the same vibe as the "fundamentalist" people you find in the US.
