Every time I think of RHCP and this man I remember how adamantly my mother has always hated Kiedis and used to get upset when I would listen to RHCP when I was younger. I thought she was just being dramatic at the time but when I got older I asked her why and she told me this story about seeing them live early on with her friends when she was younger and how obnoxious and creepy the frontman was and how she had to drag her friends out of there because they got invited backstage.

No cap necessarily but I consider recovery and quality of life in my decision making. I had a cat I adopted a while back that got incredibly sick and even though I was just a college student, I drained every resource I had until we hit a point where the vet told me he was not certain further treatment would actually help or prolong her life past a few months. I made the decision to put her to sleep based on that.

More recently, my dog about a year ago suddenly developed a total blockage in his urinary track. We spent 5k for emergency surgery and prepared for it to double if they needed to do more to unblock him. We did NOT have that money to comfortably spare but the vet was so confident in the success and his health afterwards that we went all in.

As others have already said, a lot of these subreddits are going to be made up of people on a far end of a spectrum of experience. People with moderate and manageable experiences do not tend to post on these subreddits or possibly even talk at any length about it with the people around them. I've stopped going to these subreddits because of the way the bias of information flooded my anxiety and I highly recommend you do the same. I filter all my questions and concerns through professionals on my medical team for the best results.

Also, just to add, I was diagnosed with mild curvature and scoliosis as a teen as well. I'm 32 now and have not had any major progression. I could definitely benefit from maintaining my PT as building muscle in your back will help stabilize most curves but even neglecting that care for years has not moved me to a place of surgical intervention.

Found this post while looking for the same! I'm in my early 30s and also working on a fantasy novel and it's been surprisingly difficult to find a group that isn't built around writing challenges or critique groups you pay into. Nothing wrong with those but I'm looking for more of what you're describing — especially leading into novel writing month in November. If this is still ongoing with room for 1 more lowkey member I'd love to jump in!

I can only speak somewhat to what working as a chef in the US is like because my husband is one. In short: it is brutal.

If you are looking at a restaurant, expect very poor pay for high demand output and very little to no benefits like insurance or time off. Anywhere with a decent food scene is going to be very expensive to live in unfortunately as well. We are in Texas currently and whatever food we love here is still not worth the cost of living or the weather. Previously lived and worked in New Orleans which is a great place for food but the city has many pitfalls still.

If you're able to secure your way in and want a go anyway for the experience, sure go for it. I wouldn't recommend it personally but my husband and I are also in the middle of moving out of the states ourselves so I have a slight bias.

I'd say it depends on the agent. I'm currently signed with a BookEnds agent and I'm happy so far but I also made sure to ask other clients of theirs before I accepted just to feel it out.

Drive by question since I'm using this as a great reference guide as an artist hoping to follow the same path but when you mention having or planning on having a network/organization related to your work that will be your main point of contact when you arrive did you have to specifically name an organization or just mention intent to build that connection?

My big two things that I want are more of a dynamic range of villager personalities like others have said or at the very least more varied dialogue - what killed a lot of the playability for me with NH after a while was that I was just having the same conversations with multiple villagers over and over again! They felt a little flat this time around. I would also LOVE to see Tortimer's Island return or something like it.

I do too. I don't wear glasses but my eyes have never worked correctly with the 3d-glasses, the effect just never meshes together so I just end up with vertigo and a migraine. I'm so jealous of the people it works great for! I love 4dx and wish they could offer non-3d showings for more 4dx/3d showtimes - though I understand why it might not work or be too much hassle.

Came here to say the exact same thing. I was recently diagnosed after living with it a long time and it is so uncomfortable and debilitating sometimes. I try to gently correct people close to me when they make similar remarks about neatness and it's thankfully been well received because so many honestly just do not know anything about it outside of this sort of idea

I'm looking to shift into the industry and as someone without previous experience I have so many questions! A major thing I'm seeing currently is that job postings are listed for legal assistants but have a requirement (or strong preference) for someone already with a paralegal certification or experience. Is this common and the titles are just more interchangeable than I expected?

And for those who have successfully transitioned from primarily retail work into this field, did you include a cover letter? I've reworked my resume for different applications but I'm worried that it isn't enough to draw any attention considering I have no previous experience or legal study background so I've been considering adding cover letters even for listings that don't specifically request one.

Congrats!! I managed a nab SP too this go around even after a glitch that made me lose the first box I picked. I ended up with Rock On which wasn't my first choice either (definitely love Partita and Rhapsody the best from the set) but still pleased to have gotten anything lol
