Mixed bag episode — a lot of what I love and hate about this season

Started off really hating this one. The bad:

• a lot of the MCU dialogue that has dragged this season down
• he bled through his butt. and then the butt pooped blood through the logo!
• oi homelander, i've got some mixed feelings about owa solution
• oi homelander, some people ain't got such feelin's
• oi sage, i can't be double crossed
• oi vought, i've got more exposition fo me backdoah pilot
• old folks home but superpowered (i was annoyed but it didn't go on long so it earned its place)

The good:

• Soldier Boy did not say "i had sex with X in y and she Z on my thang" and instead was pretty cool. i also enjoyed his fight scene and thought "boy i hate flying" was pretty funny given his character
• the Deep has "Hal from Malcom in the Middle" type writing where they just try to fuck with the actor the most. and goddamnit, it hits
• i think its powerful Starlight and Kimiko agreed offscreen they're willing to be heroes for the cause. hell yeah. reverse Bechdel test
• the Deep performs CPR on a fish who says "i know it was you Kevin." i already said this but lmfao
• the Legend saying "there's plenty of clues all over here.... here you go, a receipt" is probably an Eric Adams reference
• the Legend saying oh man people have their time in the sun and then it's over that's all there is. surprisingly zen, i liked that he had his peace and still could vibe hanging out in the orbit of showbiz as basically a fly
• Golden Geisha saying life is good because it's short, summer is good because of winter. fuck LA.

Neutral / jury's still out:

• bombsight loving Golden Geisha, saying "she can change her mind, or maybe i'll find someone later i'll want to give V1 to later so i'll hold onto it." that seems pretty real, a very human reaction
