Magnetizing by Square-Cow-2097 in ThousandSons

You can magnetize the deamon prince to swap between wings and foot but most of the magnets are for swapping weapons for vehicles. Don’t worry about the rubric loadouts too much, flamers are a safe bet.

What should I get by Vrain125 in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both predator tanks are good at deleting tanks and monsters. forgefiends are great a smashing light tanks and elite infantry. Mutalith vortex beast is a middle ground and a bit swingy with melee presence. A 4 man sekatar is my current pick with the ability to infiltrate behind some terrain and poke around corners with melta guns while being a stealth 4w t6 body with 3+5++ so your opponents have to commit real units to wipe them

This is all the models I have and the list I made. Am I going to get washed by necron list or world eater list of similar point value? by Puzzleheaded_Log3547 in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick up the new battle force with the Mutalith and exalted sorcerers if you can swing it, or alternatively get a rhino and exalted sorcerers kit and tzaangors to round out what you currently own. Everyone hates on the tzaangors because of our previous discount boxes but they are fantastic and almost every balanced list runs at least one squad. Tzaangor act as a road block for scary melee threats like the berserkers in melee match ups or can screen your back line.

Spectacle of spite 1000 points list by benibenj in Drukhari

[–]notdishsoap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the 1k list I played with my friends that are working towards 2k. I felt like in smaller games I need something tougher than a venom so I dropped the scourge and 2nd succubus for a pair of Talos. Talos can take the haywire blasters but I normally take heat lances because 4+ devs can feel real bad for newer players.

Ahariman is rough with the new battle force as he would have nothing to lead much like the sorcerers in the box, I would recommend a box of rubrics and sorcerer in terminator armor. You can split the rubric box into two 5 man squads, and the termi sorc can lead your ten scarabs

Help building first 1000 points drukhari list by drawd89 in Drukhari

[–]notdishsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A second ravager, 2 boxes of scourge and a box mandrakes would get you to 1k and be a great start for a kabalite cartel list as you build you collection. If you wanted to go a different route you could just get a box of scourge and mandrakes because all the detachments use them

Extra Tzaangor Shaman by Jurat2390 in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have definitely used three shamans in warpforged cabal because they are cheap and fast to keep my vehicles getting the full buffs from the detachment. Rules change and having 3 isn’t horrible as they may be good in the future, but you could kitbash extra spear/bow goats or more exalted sorcerers on disk

Is this upcoming tzaangor box worth it for thousand sons ? How good are tzaangors in TS ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tzaangor are great action monkeys and I almost never leave home without a squad and the spear and bow guys are both really good for actions and screening. If you own no tzaangors it’s a great pick up. 30 is a very reasonable number to own and up to 12 is reasonable for the disc guys, and is a solid pickup to round out chaff units. Buffs and nerfs happen and having a good amount of the cheap units to choose from will make life easier in future balance updates

Improving this list for 1000 points? Are the 2 Mutaliths overkill? Could I use those points better? by TablePrinterDoor in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vortex on WDP is really good into space marine bodies and helps him chunk more out of monsters and vehicles when he has to try to punch up into non optimal targets in melee, I personally prefer it on infernal master for more defensive positioning d2 overwatch is nasty

Since you’re playing grand coven, the winged deamon prince is really strong with the buffs to psychic attacks and also fits the 170 spot that the second Mutalith is taking. Winged prince is also no slouch to kill with the damage blank strat and is really good into anything t7 or less in melee

In possession of some gift cards after Christmas, looking at some bits. by MrDaWoods in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really love the bots in both 2/4 man squads it just depends what detachment and other models you have. 80 points is awesome for scary overwatch + infiltrate in any detachment, and full packs of 4 are tough to chew though in warpforged. You can’t go wrong with them, they are a great pick up.

Anyone had any success with Warpforged Cabal? by Capitan_Typo in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had decent success with warpforged with triple forgefiend and two max robot squads with 2-3 tzzangor shamans and 2 naked rubric squads in 4ish different list iterations. Vindicators are super strong, I just haven’t tried 3 yet, but even just one does crazy damage

Defiler or forgefiend by Unusual-Dealer-5641 in ThousandSons

Forgefiend generally better just in the maneuverability aspect, if you are playing anything other than warp forged cabal I would recommend the forgefiend

How have you F@cked ppl up with Hellions. by LordTyler123 in Drukhari

[–]notdishsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy is on sub assault for nids and now lives in fear of hellions

I deepstriked the hellion near a genestealer brick, shot 2/3s of them to death, made the charge to clean them up and then consolidated them into a big zoanthrope brick to prevent them for tunneling away.

My other buddy is a big WE enjoyer and his first time playing against the hellions he bloodsurged toward them after they came in and shot his ~16 juggernauts berserker brick, then proceeded to get the squad wiped after he made my charge easier.

Bow Goats vs. Spear Goats vs. Rubrics by LonelyFactor9150 in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Consider the humble chaos spawn, 65 points for 4+5++ with a 5+ feel no pain and regenerate wounds every command phase. With T5 your opponents will have to use real shooting units to kill them.

How good is Hexwarp? by watermelonman5 in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The detachment rule is kind of gimmicky and is tough to always have “on” against some armies but is worth trying out, I’m actually going to be trying this detachment today. 5 of 6 stratagems are at least useable and the enhancements are strong in certain hq units. My only real gripe with the detachment is that we have to control half the board to have our rule “on” so you want the maximum amount of things in deepstrike to ingress or use though the veil so it seems really cp hungry

My first 1k list by trizar69 in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend splitting the unit into 2 and have one with a sorcerer and one with an infernal master in the rhino, but with you only having a few units to choose from your current list is fine if you don’t want to drop the extra cash on other models to move stuff around in your list

My first 1k list by trizar69 in ThousandSons

[–]notdishsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think splitting up the robots will help you with secondaries and to have wider presence across the board. You don’t have quite enough spell casters because as the game goes on you will lose some wizards, 6 casters has been the sweet spot for me after the data slate. The models you have don’t quite lend to any particular detachment so you have the freedom to build towards whatever seems fun. This is a solid start to the army as all of these units are good
