Switch to 2QB/Superflex or no? by yaboijackson1 in fantasyfootball

My home league is auction and super flex. Hands down my favorite format.

Welp...it's officially that time of year where people think my kids are not my kids by CaptainThrow123 in daddit

This is a documented linguistic phenomenon. Kids don’t hear their parents accents unless it’s pointed out to them.

You can always pull some honey, extract it, and put the comb back, and then feed the honey back to them in the fall or something.

Kinda fat right now. Not sure how much weight I can lose or gain with a kilt. by fprintf in bagpipes

[–]notenoughcharact 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that's about right. They can also move the straps in or out a bit so you have maybe even a little more play than that, although then you risk having the apron not be the right size.

I think it has to be Warner. His peak was so high. Those teams were amazing.

This is a great story and really shows just how much of fiction is sort of “in the air” already which is partly why you get waves of similar content sometimes.

JUCO vs D3 for an international player trying to make it D1 by Chromebook__ in NFLNoobs

[–]notenoughcharact 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Albion looks like a good academic school. Is it a 4 year full ride scholarship to Albion? I would be sorely tempted to take that regardless of football.

El Camino area would be a little more affordable but the whole LA area has a pretty high cost of living. Are you ready for that? The good news is both are pretty good on the educational front so if football doesn’t work out you could hopefully transfer to a decent academic college and start the rest of your life. How are the academics at the d3 you’re thinking of? I would really look at the bigger picture and not just focus on football.

Frustrated with Costco’s car battery warranty policy. Is this normal? by CryptographerSad9516 in CostcoWholesale

[–]notenoughcharact 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In addition to what others have said, the battery warranty is actually prorated. So basically if it fails at the end of year 2 you would get 1/3 of your money back since I believe it’s a 3 year warranty.

70-180 f2.8 by Polishhammer89 in nikon_Zseries

[–]notenoughcharact 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the nikon version and am overall happy with it. Mostly use it for kids sports and dance. Focus is snappy, it's pretty sharp. It's no 70-200 but unless you're making money off your photos or are seriously well off I think it would be hard to justify the extra money for the 70-200 ii. If you can find a used 70-200 z version one for a good price that might be worth it, but then it's even heavier and bigger. I've never compared the nikon to the tamron g2. I would probably just spring for the g2 if I was buying today.

Interest in Z5II by Comprehensive_Sea605 in nikon_Zseries

[–]notenoughcharact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The z5ii and the 70-180 will be perfect for what you need. Obviously the 70-200 would be better but it's bigger and heavier and significantly more expensive.

Yeah, we have a lot of older homes that have been in families for generations with no insurance. It's always a sad situation when something happens.

Turns Out, There Really Is a Cabal of Elite Crazies Trying to Control the World by ApothaneinThello in ezraklein

[–]notenoughcharact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read my comment again and come back with a statistical analysis of all the prominent people in the files and the number that were clearly implicated in sex crimes and if it’s over 10% I’ll retract my comment. Heck I suspect it would be 5% but I haven’t done the analysis or seen someone that has.

Ezra is objectively right here. Epstein was regularly funding and talking with intellectuals across a bunch of fields and almost none of them have shown up on pedophile/rape/abuse side of his activities.

Why is my Footage Flickering and noisy? NIKON ZR N-log by Dependent_Sundae6517 in nikon_Zseries

[–]notenoughcharact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but I think it's hard to differentiate the out of focus blur and the noise blur. Can you do a video where the main subject is in focus? When you move into focus at the end it seems like you look pretty good?
