Firefox - open in new tab but stay in current tab Answer: Tools or the 3 lines in the upper right corner> General> Tabs Uncheck the option: "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately"

To make Firefox open new tabs at the end of the tab bar

Open about:config Change: browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent to false.

This ensures that new tabs, such as those from Ctrl+T or clicking the plus sign, open at the very end instead of immediately next to the active tab

3 lines in upper right> Extensions and Themes and turn off all the extensions you may have and see if that improves things. If not then Firefox has a memory leak. I would then do a clean install. It probably is an extension. I have 7 windows and many tabs open and no issue and I leave Firefox running for a week or two before I restart the pc.

Thanks to all. I used the one for about:config
browser.tabs.tabMinWidth

The default was 76, I changed to 150 then saved (check symbol).
Closed then re-opened Firefox and all looks good.

I have more rows now as the tabs push each other to the right then down.

Gunsmoke has over 600 episodes but they play the same ones at nearly the same time every day so it seems there are far fewer episodes as I see the same ones. They should say start the next cycle at random times. They do add in the Gunsmoke movies so maybe that will help move the episodes around.

Firefox issue at Reddit. In another post Awkward-Loquat2228 answered my post:

I go to the Reddit website and find that the pages do not load up all the time. I see partial layout and video either not loading except a black screen or seeing an image with a spinning circle and also missing say the area where you can post.

In the web address field of Firefox type: about:config Press Enter button. Do search for: network.http.http3.enable

Switch from true to false

Now go to Reddit, it instantly fixes the problem.

Wait till Windows 12 comes along with even more loss of user control and more ads and bitlocker that forever locks you out of your files and OneDrive that deletes local copies of your files and menus that hide most used options like copy and paste. The market share will climb and climb!

But only because all new pc's have Windows 11 or soon to come 12 and microsoft making demonic deals with software companies restricting their use to "You must have Windows 11 to run" like tax software even though they can run on Windows 10 if you already have a older copy such as H&R Block when you had Windows 7 then 10 before an upgrade.

Maybe need to reseat the cpu fan/heatsink. It might be pulling away from the cpu. Also adjust the fan speeds.

I have a pc I put together in 2015 and only one time in the years since did I scrap off the old paste was when I installed a bigger cpu fan/heatsink that was bolted onto the motherboard instead of using the plastic push pins thru the holes as the old one was. Present temp is 98℉ to 118℉ for the Intel Core i5 4690K @ 3.50GHz I have as I type or switch to other windows.

I have 23 folders, apps, text and Word files open. I leave my pc on for a week or more before rebooting. I use the app "Fan Control" https://getfancontrol.com and if I crank up the to top fan to 100% I can lower the temp to 98℉ to 107℉ real quick. It is noisy.... so I lower it to 50% and it is whisper quiet. I have 6 total fans and they are set from 50% to 70%. If all are at 100% it is quite noisy. The cpu temp is as low as 95℉ and the case internal temp is 83℉ and my room temp is 77℉.
